Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLighting in rooms and bathroom could be stronger.
Arma grounds are amazing , so lush and green. Buldings are in Bali style. There are so many facilities there, restaurant, cafe, pool, stages for live performances, spa. You can spend your days just enjoying the facilities and not even going outside. They also have a variety of activities, traditional dances, cooking classes etc. The food in the restaurant is great and staff is lovely. I took massages at the spa and was very happy! I only regret not staying longer in Arma.

United StatesNot enough outlets for charging your devices. You have to remove one from the lamp. And also if you have a western outlet you have to ask for a special adapter.
I love how everything was available on site. Breakfast included. I love the scenic walk to my villa. The pool villa was beautiful there was fish in the pond to my outdoor shower. I also loved the Legong dance show. Since I was staying there, they reserve a seat for me front and center. This hotel is in the Main Street only 15 min walk to the monkey forest.

United KingdomOur room wasn't the best available as it had a bit of outdated furniture and a pipe smell in it, I was annoyed to have a room deodorant that was spraying fragrance every 30 min to cover up a bed smell ,I have noticed that our room was the only one to have such issue but last second booking didn't allow much time to staff for setting up another room, overall it didn't compromise the experience.
The location Is Amazing, immersed in a beautiful water garden, with loads of activities and an art museum to visit, we had booked somewhere else but decided to come here after a visit to the museum... staff is professional, well trained and welcoming, really recommend.

Second time staying here. Villa with private pool. Excellent accommodation. Staff are exceptional. Attentive and helpful. Great communicators. The front desk is super efficient and friendly. Breakfast was a buffet style and adequate. The coffee was great. The grounds of the resort are amazing. It's like living in the bush but a 5 minute walk to excellent restaurants and shops. A nice 10 minute stroll to the Monkey Forest and a twenty minute walk to the markets. Highly recommend this place to stay. Comfortable, clean and friendly.

AustraliaSuch an interesting hotel with beautiful natural surrounds. Breakfasts were superb and all hotel meals great with lovely presentation. We were lucky with timing that the owner was present and there was the 6 monthly blessing ceremony at the Arma Museum. We were treated like visiting royalty. Highly recommend this lovely place.

United KingdomThere's nothing I could fault about the ARMA resort!
Where do we start, the ARMA resort is absolutely stunning. It's a very quiet location off the main strip of Ubud but in a walkable distance. The hotel grounds are a sight to behold and the suite room we stayed in was great value, it was beyond our expectations. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they really made our stay. There was a lot to choose from with the complimentary breakfast. We will definitely stay here again!

Superb grounds and wonderful staff. We stayed in a pool villa which was outstanding. Best place to see traditional Balinese dance - five nights a week. Aside from being a tranquil oasis in what has become a very busy Ubud, ARMA exists to support Balinese culture and art. It is unique, rich in history and a great place to stay.

United StatesFew touch ups on paint in entry would make things impeccable.
Loved the gorgeous grounds and all the art work and cultural displays. The hotel is part of a foundation that supports Balinese culture and tradition. So it is incredibly beautiful and an authentic. There are so many other resorts purely made to mimic somewhere else - so I appreciated this.

Germanywe underestimated the distance to the center of Ubud, in rain season walking for an hour in dense traffic is not pleasant. hint: when you leave the hotel, walk left ten minutes, nice craft shops are there.
it was like staying inside a museum and nature park. the rooms were amazing, the surroundings inside the resort had eg rice fields, trees of any size, birds, bats and a lake. we watched a classical balinese dance on site. the service is very personal, the staff tales great care.

AustraliaWe had room 711 with 2 single beds. It was very simple and very outdated considering a 4 star hotel. No USB entrances/smart TV. You could hear all noise from adjacent rooms. On the upper pool the wood was rotten and broken but managment was able to place a warning around the hole.
The property grounds are lovely, the pools very clean and nice, the gardens. All the staff was corteous and very kind and attentive to anything we needed. No mosquitoes during our stay! Is definitely a beautiful space inside the hotel!

MalaysiaNo gym. Breakfast was nice, but nothing special. It was better quality when we ordered it to the room. No lattes. The double bed was 2 singles pushed together, not very comfortable. The family room isn’t suitable with young children, as the bedrooms are far apart and you need to cross the garden and around the pool to reach the other room. If parents and children sleep separately, then this is dangerous if the children come looking for parents during night. My husband and I had to sleep separately, with our 3 year old.
It’s absolutely beautiful, lovely design. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely private pool.
