Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeA smell in the toilet- from some sewage thingy. There was a fan in the toilet to Dan away the smell so that was good.
Location and the music from Byrd restaurant. The fact that it is beachfront is great. Good Warungs nearby for lovely local food. Aircon is very powerful.

AustraliaWow, grounds are stunning. We stayed in a bungalow, perfect size, great bathroom and outside area. Staff were awesome. Was not expecting this type of resort from the photos on the site. Restaurant on site catered for all tastes, good coffee. Loved everything, value for money.

ArgentinaWe thought the room was a bit noisy… which is a shame
The continental breakfast, though a bit expensive for Bali, was amazing. The restaurant was amazing for lunch and dinner, and bbq on Friday was great. The swimming pools are superb, and the whole place, surrounded by so much green and so many statues and animals is something we already look forward to seeing again!

DenmarkThey have a lot of one-day guests through their beachclub/restaurant. They take up some space around the pools - this is mostly in the weekends.
Huge resort, well-organized, beautiful, and super friendly staff. VERY VERY children friendly

AustraliaThe bed wasn't the comfiest, but that's all personal opinion and what I didn't like, someone else might love.
The staff were lovely, personable and welcoming. It was perfect for our little family, especially with our 1.5 year old. The grounds were safe to wander, the swings were fun but the pools were the highlight - the lagoon pool was our favourite. We were blown away by the range and quality of food at the buffet - every morning we had a delicious meal. The room was a fair size, with a bathroom with both shower and bath was perfect for our little one. Spa treatments were also of high calibre. It was also such a lovely surprise to be given a cake and fruit plate for my birthday. We're looking forward to returning and staying again in the future.

AustraliaI don’t like that you have to buy your coffee at breakfast The coffee machines they use are slow and end product poor $5 for a coffee from a big machine made by a barista I could buy a coffee and large croissant for $5 at the Maya on my walk When I am laying this type of money I expect barista coffee to be included We normally stay at the Hyatt Sanur and they provide it all in the cost

AustraliaThey could probably have staff come down more often to the other pools to see if people would like to order food or drinks. Most of the time I would have to go and find someone to place an order. Also I found the beds way to hard and only having one thin pillow each wasn’t enough, but when I asked for extra pillows and an extra topper on the bed the staff were more than happy to help us.
Peaceful and quiet. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way for you. Breakfast was excellent a lot of choices. The gardens at the hotel were amazing.

NetherlandsThe first room turned out to be a bit noisy because of the small corridor it was situated at. The second room in the garden was considerably more pleasant. The number of beds on the beach was limited and quickly occupied.
Very nice resort, rooms, pools, garden etc. The restaurant was excellent. We appreciated the dining environment in the evening. The location is not too far from Sanur port which is convenient for ferries to the islands.

AustraliaIf I had to find something to complain about it would be that the bed and pillows were too firm for our taste.
Beautiful, tranquil and immaculately clean. We stayed in a garden deluxe villa with what felt like our own private pool, as some times during the day we were the only guests there. Clean beach/ swimming towels and comfy loungers were plentiful. The breakfast was more than adequate and the few lunches we had at the Byrdhouse were delicious. All in all a fabulous resort close to many good restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back...and i have to mention that the friendliness of the staff throughout the resort was exceptional.

Breakfast buffet style and in the Byrd House restaurant at the front of the hotel which is a stunning venue directly beach front. Excellent range of choices for breakfast including an omelette station and plenty of fresh fruit and local produce. Staff all friendly, courteous and eager to cater to your every whim, including dietary requirements. The daytime and evening menu are superb, with an Italian twist but also great Indonesian options. My cottage was in a secluded part at the back of the resort with a gorgeous, cool, private pool. There are 2 private pools as well as a huge pool at the front of the resort with loads of sunbeds and places to sit and relax, but this section is also open to the public so can get a bit busy and noisy! Fun for people watching!
