Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe pool was a little tricky to find but it was nice and clean and staff there are so welcoming and helpful.
Staff were so friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel. We were catching the early morning ferry from Rosslare and it was only 20 mins drive from the port.

IrelandStaff at reception were not so kind. Very basic and not welcoming. Could have done with a better greeting. The view outside the window was not nice.
The entrance was nice. Staff in the bar were helpful. Room was very clean and tidy. Big room and lovely bathroom. Comfortable bed. Great location. Very close to what you need.

IrelandBar tender unauthorised to make a vodka martini because it wasn't on his cocktail list, because it would cause the stock take not to tally. Offered alternative, was helpful. Room charge on app from 164 then automatically bumped itself to 184 after I pressed pay, was invoiced for 205 with a discount... No response from Booking.com, no help or recourse available. Hotel Manager Rachel said that it was because I added breakfast and I accepted that explaination. Then I went back and checked (on the day on the hotel) and the room rate was still availabe for 164 with breakfast included. Our room was fine, but it didn't have city view, wasn't a suite,. in other words, no discernable additional value for the extra 20 or 40 euros. My advice: this is a nice hotel, well run, don't book on booking.com because their payment mechanism is rigged and there is no recourse afterwards.
Very professional all round.

IrelandThe facilities in the room were not great. We were expecting a more modern hotel as per pictures.
I liked the design of the reception and the bar area. And staff was great, especially the I think was the supervisor of the bar. And food was great, we just had one plate on a late evening but if we knew was that great we would like had more meals ☹️

IrelandWe would have liked the swimming pool to be open a little earlier on Sunday morning ! but that is it.
Staff could not have been more helpful, a problem with a room was swiftly solved with no issue. we were having a celebratory dinner and the manager and staff in the restaurant deserve special mention for their attentiveness and service and the chef for patching up the cake without being requested to - that really demonstrated the standard of service we received during our short stay.

IrelandOur room was very expensive for the amount of money we spent. Looking over roofs, bed very small and uncomfortable, over warm and no ventilation apart from a tiny opening in window. We were at a wedding and out of the room a lot which was good as if not we would have been very dissappointed.
Public areas lovely, food lovely, staff very nice. Hotel clean and bright. Lovely bar area.

IrelandSmall things like there was no fridge in the room it would have been good to store our own drink into. We didn't have biscuits in the room but we asked one of the cleaners. Also there was an annoying noise outside the window every few seconds it would go off. I think it's a vent or something. The view also wasn't great from our window.
The pool and jacuzzi was our best day. The rooms were spacious and the location is great for shopping. The servers in the ballast bar were very friendly and the mixologist was also very nice.
