How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The cord of the hair dryer is way too short. Would be preferable to have it in the bathroom.
The amenity kits and shower accessories were nice. The staff members were also very polite and helpful.

It was slightly pricey considering the rate didnt include any food options . I was also disappointed with the room cleaning . I had gotten up on morning one to do a running event . I left my "room free for service" tag on the door . i came back 5 hours later at 2 and my room still wasnt cleaned / no fresh towels . for an average of 205 a night I would have expected more .
I really liked the hotels central location , the room size was excellent for a double room . there was great atmosphere in the hotel bar / restaurant , i had travelled for a running event and many other runners were there so it was nice to speak to them after the event

We arrived and had some lovely cocktails. Booked in for dinner in the evening and it was very nice. Went out in the city which is very central to the hotel so we walked to all the lively spots. Great stay and enjoyed the visit

Flannels in the bathroom would have been nice.
The property was located close to ample shopping, an onsite restaurant with very generous portions and quite reasonable pricing and plenty of other external restaurants nearby. The room was a good size, excellent coffee/tea facilities and external parking at a reasonable cost a few minutes away.

As I knew I wasn’t going to be there for long I chose a place that had the convenience of a restaurant. Was a bit disappointed with the menu, as it wasn’t as health conscious as I choose to be. Parking was also down the road, but thankfully not too far.
A convenient stop for me driving through from Cork up to Galway. Rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean.

They don't have parking which caused me a lot of trouble. I would return to this hotel because of the comfort and staff, but the lack of parking makes me have second thoughts. You need to walk to another street to park the car, it is paid, and I don't think it is cheap.
I was surprised by the comfort. I was finally able to sleep well in a hotel. Excellent mattress and pillows. I usually have problems with the carpets in hotels in general because usually I think they are not cleaned properly, but this time my nose was just fine.

The bathroom is long and narrow, which is fine, but it required use of a tiny sink which is OK for washing your hands, but inconvenient for washing your face or refilling a bottle. The breakfast was uninspired for the cost of the room.
We had room 7020. It has been newly refurbished and is large and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. We had a drink in the bar, and it was good.

There is a huge gap on the top part of the windows which could not be closed properly. This makes the room noisy and a bit cold. It's expensive a bit for the value it offers.
Lays in the center of Limerick, really good location. Staff is really-really friendly and nice. Breakfast is super good! The hotel restaurant is exceptionally good!

Room for 3 sharing was small, and there wasn’t enough water or other facilities for us all. If you’re advertising a room for 3, have 3 cartons of water available, not 2. Breakfast was a little disappointing and not worth the extra €14.50 each.
Very central location, friendly staff, clean and well-kept.
