How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

the “Spa” was two treatment rooms. No additional facilities. A spa within the hotel was one of the major reasons we picked this hotel. This was FALSE advertising. Staff were unfriendly.

I don't think I can name any disadvantages. Everything was perfect :-)
The hotel was fantastic. I definitely recommend it. From the first moment I felt brilliant. The staff is very helpful. Delicious breakfasts, brilliant area with a swimming pool on the roof. The decor, the atmosphere - I liked everything.

Price is a little high (I may consider competing hotel that offer similar experience for less. I did not like: too much perfume in my room, Closet is too small. Everything else perfect.
Location is exceptional. Common areas a great. Staff is exceptional.

Both the design and decor of the room and the hotel were very good - sophisticated and modern, in keeping with its ambitious city-sleeker image. But best of all was the extraordinary staff…. Totally amazing, warm, welcoming and service-driven.

A bit noisy - you hear other guests walking by, traffic and slamming doors A lot of light in the room when dark (gaps in curtains, aircon panels and light switches glow)

The price seems a bit excessive, and the place seems more designated for foreign tourists. Breakfast is nice, yet not as exceptional as I had expected from such a place. Pool water were freezing and very small, even at 30 degrees Celsius outside, it was impossible to stay more than two minutes in it.
Very spacious room, comfortable bed. Bathtub. The hotel is lovely, quiet and feels like a getaway from the city, which is right there. The location is next to Rothschild Avenue, which is close to many dining options and a walk from main shopping areas.

the fact sunbeds we’re reserved by the pool with no sign of who reserved them ! leaving us with nowhere to sit .
the level of service from the staff was exceptional.. Nathan by the pool deserves a special mention.

The hotel should definitely invest in thicker windows. There were events every night on the terrace and I could hear the people speak as if they were in my room (I was on the first floor) although they were not particularly loud.
Great location close to Rothschild boulevard. Lovely hotel in a building from the 1930s. Nice restaurant and bar, great pool on the rooftop. The personnel is very kind and helpful. Rooms are quite small but well equipped with super comfortable beds. Overall a very good stay.

Expensive, the room is smaller than i though, the AC was a bit loud. Everything else was perfect.
Comfy, they put a lot of effort in the small details, the room was clean, set, service was perfect, room temprature controlled by electronic thermometer.

I was on the bottom floor, facing the construction site. Not a great view - and noisy. Not appropriate to such a lovely hotel. I would assign those rooms as a last choice for guests. The kind young lady who took me to my room (12) said they didn’t start working until 11:00. At 7:00 am they were banging away.
The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was lovely, and the bathroom divine!

Maybe just a bit pricey.
Staff were pleasant, the breakfast was great and in a nice sitting area outside. The location is perfect, quiet but very central. Cool pool on the roof, and a very pleasant atmosphere overall. The room was okay, you might expect for more in that price (design-wise and room size). Great dining options (great bar and restaurant).
