Not much. Could have done with extra throw on bed, but heating worked well

Room (no2) was a really pleasant surprise. Lovely dual aspect windows over looking two different bits of town. Very helpful staff looked after luggage early and got us checked in early, plus really good at responding to communications. This room exceeded our expectations. Entrance and facilities were limited and a bit basic, but they don't affect they stay. Oh and loved the kettle and refreshments, very welcome but not always supplied

There was no picture on the TV or it kept breaking up. It didn't bother us but might be an issue for Italian guests.

The room was plenty big. The bathroom was very clean and the shower worked very well. We were staying on the top floor and the views were beautiful from windows facing south and west. Towels were changed every day.

We have to understand that these are not 5 star hotels but mostly older buildings with limited space. Most of them are walk ups. For most places in RIomaggiore people would have to walk up with their belongings and it is not easy. But this is not a negative part of the location per se, just the reality of the town

The room was clean, and was comfortable for 2 beds. The air conditioner worked well and the the shower pressure and temperature were excellent. They left us new towels every day. The room allowed for natural light during the day, but kept it out at night.

The the room was not serviced properly daily. Dirty cups not replaced. Not swept properly. If I didn't clean the toilet it would stay dirty. Tea and coffee satchets not replaced. The fridge may as well be switched off, it didn't cool anything.

The room was better than I expected. I think I got an upgrade. It was very comfortable for a solo traveller like me. The location was excellent. Breakfast was not included in the rate. Towels replaced daily.

The towels, too thin. The bathroom wasn't in very new, and the toilet tap was broken. It would need some money to be renewed. The room wasn't cheap!

Location is very good. Easy to get to train station and central in Riomaggiore. That they also have a parking is a great benefit and helped with the stress of driving there. Very sweet staff.

These comments are probably true for most of the accommodation because of the age of buildings and the geography of the place. The car parking was adequate but very difficult to negotiate. I should have needed the advice of others and left the car in LeSpetzia. The room was very small and accessed by deep steep steps. I guess most properties are unsuitable for the installation of lift shafts, so you need to be aware that you'll have a stiff climb to your room, which will be no fun if you've got heavy luggage, and even less fun if you're a pensioner with defective knees!! The whole area is probably a big challenge for people with mobility issues. There are steps everywhere and the roads and paths are very steep, but that's what makes the place what it is. This is old rural Italy. Everything seems dated and crumbling. The electrical wiring is a health and safety nightmare and the plumbing is "interesting". For the amount of tourist money that must be flooding into the place there seems little interest in repairing crumbling plaster or broken brickwork etc. Maybe the powers that be want to retain this rather shoddy appearance as a manifestation of the places "charm". So although Locanda Ca Dei Duxi was all a bit basic, it's probably no different from most other places

The small fridge was not really powerfull. It would just cooler down the drinks a bit.

Irene, at the reception desk was superb, very kind and helpful with important tips on Cinque Terre. The location was great and easy to reach from train station.
