How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Room soundproofing - I could hear the street noise in the morning, but I still got up early ...
A very pleasant, strategically located smaller hotel in the centre, very close to the Spanish Steps and Spagna metro station. I was pleasantly surprised by the staff at the hotel - I travel a lot, but I've never met such nice, helpful and friendly staff, especially at the reception. They do an excellent job! The hotel rooms are clean, nicely decorated, the bed is very comfortable. Next time I go to Rome, I will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Nothing, everything is perfect.
The room seems a bit more spacious that it seems like in the picture, with a little balcony to oversee the restaurant in the opposite side of the street. The room is cleaned everyday and is maintained in a very good condition, despite the fact that the hotel is a constructed at 1930s and is run by the same family for 3 generations ( this is what is said on the sign outside their front door). The hotel itself is antique and decorated very lovely.

Unfortunately for us there were renovations being here which we were only informed about a few days prior. Also would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room but that’s just a preference.
The location was excellent, easy to find with lots of good restaurants, cafes and shops. It was a busy area but not noisy at all. The staff at the hotel were excellent, helpful and always someone around. The room was cleaned daily and everything was spotless. Very happy with this hotel.

I would have rated the hotel 10/10, but the hotel clearly needs a refurb, which they were doing while we were there. In all fairness, we went during the low season, so the much-needed maintenance is to be expected and this is why I still rated them highly. It did, however, mean we had to deal with workers banging away, dust, and so on. This should not deter anyone, though,because by the time you book, the hotel will be looking great again!
I love this hotel and it's staff so much. It was our second consecutive stay here and we'll probably book here again. The location is perfect for reaching most central Rome attractions and restaurants. It's 2 minutes from the underground station, the staff is friendly and the accommodation comfortable.

There is a bathtub in the room, but the water faucet does not work...
Very close to Piazza di Spagna (2 minutes walking). All staffs are kind.

The room was small, and a little noisy in the street at night, but overall it was great.

Only minor issue was that more toilet rolls could be provided and also milk refreshed in the room on a daily basis.
We had a lovely stay in this hotel. We booked a superior room as we were staying for a week. Nice large room with fridge and kettle. Very friendly staff on the reception desk. The staff were very kind and gave me a bottle of prosecco for my birthday which was a very pleasant surprise! Hotel is in a great location near the Spanish steps and metro station. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Grazie mille!

Street has a lot of restaurants so can be a bit noisy in some nights.

The room we stayed in was small and plain. What appealed to me in why I chose the hotel was the authentic Italian design of the rooms as shown on their website but was disappointed to get a room with none. Also they could improve their breakfast but they are very limited for space.
Location was perfect around the corner from the Spanish steps and spoiled for choice with restaurants all around. Bed was firm and very comfortable. Staff were amazing and full of good recommendations for restaurants and anything else you would want to know.
