The rooms are very small and you can also hear next door people talking. The toilet is super duper small and cramp as the shower and toilet bowl is so near to each other therefore it is difficult to turn the body for someone big size or tall.

This is a very simple hotel with a one night only kind of hotel. We were given the last floor room (5th floor) but the lift only goes until the 4th floor so Imagine our surprise when we are traveling with 2 big large luggage. At least the guy from reception helped us to carry our luggage, which was nice of him.

What we did not really like was the thin wall so we can hear noise from other rooms but we slept well.

It was a good night, the facilities were as told. The futon was comfy, no trouble. Price was good and near the station. We would like to stay again if come to Kyoto.

The room floor is dusty, the small table and the appliances. One of our futon/mattress (not on the cover) has a blood stain. Needed to change the pillow cover because it smells like used by the previous guest of the room. The bathroom was small but clean, only the vent fan is full of dust. Our room was in 2nd floor and you can hear the noises outside and from the next room. Not recommended if you are with kids. I hope they provide slippers since the floor gets more dusty if you will stay for more than a night. (We stayed for 2 nights)

Location is nice easy to find. Near to train kyoto station also to convenience and grocery store. The ambiance and style of the room was nice too.

we stayed for 5 nights and the rooms wasn’t cleaned at all, we weren’t instructed on any of it. i believe you can take fresh towels from reception but no idea what to do with dirty ones. There was also no one ever present at reception. we wanted to enquire about transferring our luggage back to Tokyo but couldn’t as we never saw anyone there.

it’s well located, close to Tokyo station. helpful, especially if you carry a lot of luggage. we wanted a traditional experience, and to be honest we had very comfortable sleep!

No, everything is good for us.

It's 5 stars hotel. Staff was very friendly. located is close to the Kyoto station (5mins walking). clean room. quiet and comfortable space. Wi-Fi works well.

There was no staff present when we arrived even though the sign at the desk said it was open. A key was left for us so we were able to access our room. There was no one there when we checked out at 9 am. We were hoping to leave our bags for a few hours while we did a bit more sight seeing but it didn't seem safe so we ended up putting them in a locker at Kyoto Station.

The room was as expected. It is just big enough for 2 to sleep. The laundry facilities on the roof were great! The comforters were some of the nicest I've ever used!

The japanese room was a bit smaller than expected. The sheets of our room were a bit dirty. It was like it was not cleaned. The bathroom is also small. I was bumping into the walls while I was taking a bath.

I like that it was around 500 meters from the main Kyoto station. It is a bit far from the temples and the Kyoto shopping district, but travelling to and from the hotel wasn't an issue. You also get to experience an authentic japanese room. It is as listed: a japanese room with a few modern amenities

I have never slept on a tatami bed before, it's good really appreciate that this is a non-smoking building. for back sleeping, but not that comfortable for side sleeping.

This was my first time staying in a traditional Japanese hotel. It's very minimalist, and clean. a very good value. Very close to Kyoto station and you get a whole room and bathroom to yourself. This is a much better value than staying in a capsule hotel. This place is run by an older couple and while they didn't speak English, they were attentive and communicated well through Google translate. They have a clear process that is well communicated on how to get inside the building after hours.
