Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe lanes (we could not call them roads) around the property are dusty and potholed. It is not easy to find the first couple of times and it is easy to get lost searching for the place. Google Maps is not much help at times. Returning back to the property after dark was further compounded with a lot of barking stray dogs chasing you. It is safer to take a tuktuk if you are returning after dark.
The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Cola, who gave us a lot of information. The property was about 20 minutes walk to the center of Siem Reap (Pub Street, night markets, ATMs, restaurants and shops)

IrelandNot the hotels fault but some local tuktuks couldn't find the hotel on Google maps. You're much better booking them on Grab.
Rooms were spacious and very clean, beds were comfortable, staff very helpful. We met the owner who was very friendly and chatty. Would recommend staying here, it's a quiet location but only a 5 min trip to the centre.

United KingdomThe location wasn't ideal. The property is tucked away in some dusty backstreets, and it's a hot trek into town.
The food was fantastic. We ate different meals every night, and enjoyed all of them. The people were really helpful with all of our trips and travel arrangements, we'd have struggled without their help.

We loved the personal of Villa Agati already after one minute. They will help you with all your needs. We loved the location of the Villa, because it was a little outside of the centre. We rented a motorbike and we explored the area. Siem Reap is an amazing place to discover. There are so many spots for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And ofcourse the city and surrounding bring so much cultural things to your attention. The breakfast at the hotel is fine then way it is. You can choose a couple types of breakfast and if you want to adjust that is also possible ❤️. We also enjoyed the very clean pool and the beds. Our room was very comfortable and spacious.

United KingdomTo reach Villa agati there is a short grovel road to go through and many taxi and tuk tuk get lost, not sure why. However, once you learn the way, you can tell the drivers where to turn and it is honestly really close to the centre a few minutes with the tuk tuk that cost barely 1$. Internet wi-fi is quite slow, however we bought a SIM with data and we could use the PC to work :). Shower could be improved.
The staff was attentive they booked us a tour guide made our laundry and made sure we were ok with everything. The breakfast was good and freshly made. The Swimming pool is amazing to relax during the afternoon after the temple sightseeing.the garden outside is super cute and the lunch was very good.

United KingdomHonestly nothing! Some music would be a great addition but I have my own.
Greeted by Gill (the owner), super nice guy, relaxed, welcoming and interested! Cold towel and delicious mocktail presented with a smile. I was a couple of hours early of the stated check in time - no problem... I enjoyed the pool and my drink whilst they readied the room. Beautiful room, tastefully decorated, tea/coffee, fridge, comfortable bed, excellent shower with very good quality shampo/shower gel. Fabulous breakfast included, delightful to sit amongst the garden and enjoy a meal made with love. Staff are smiley and knew my name... met Dominique on my second day... who was quick to introduce herself and equally charming. It's a fabulous little hotel is you want to escape for a couple of days and really unwind and recharge.

CanadaEverything! Our favourite stay in Cambodia for sure. The food is amazing, great value for money, rooms are very spacious and the pool is clean. Above all, the staff is so friendly and accommodating, they made us breakfasts to go in the morning when we had to leave early and kept our luggage during our overnight stay in Battambang. Cola, one of the employees, was definitely the nicest person we met in Cambodia and made our stay memorable!

United KingdomIt wasn't clear on the breakfast menu what was included and what was extra.
We liked that its a small, quiet place out of the centre of Siem Reap about 25 min walk along the river into the centre. The room was huge, and we really liked having our own private terrace with loungers and parasol overlooking the pool area. We also liked being able to order food throughout the day. We had breakfast included, but we also ate lunch and dinner. It's great to be able to stay in to eat at the villa after a long day of sightseeing at the Angkor Wat complex. Gilles and Domi, the French owners, do not live on site but are around a lot to help you plan your visit if you need it. They can also book tuktuk drivers for the short and long circuit's of the Angkor Wat complex. We also enjoyed wandering around the markets in town. We especially liked Eila Greek kitchen for food at any time of day. We extended our stay and stayed for 6 nights.

CanadaCan’t find anything..
We loved so much our stay here !! We did a lot of homestays of this kind during our trip but this one was by far the best one ! So our highlights are the pool, the peacefulness (only the sound of us swimming in the pool), the cleanliness, the people working there always so nice and happy to be there, the help from the host Gilles for managing our visit of the temples, and the restaurant which had delicious meals at a very fair price (we’re still dreaming about the carbonara and the steak with pepper sauce). We stayed 4 nights but should have booked a whole week🙈

United KingdomWe liked everything about the property!
We spent a wonderful six nights in Villa Agati and wished we could have stayed for longer. Rooms are large, well appointed and very clean. The common areas have a charming plant-filled aesthetic which meant we loved spending down time relaxing in the villa and reading our books. The property is also well located, situated in a quiet part of town but within walking distance of ‘pub street’ and most restaurants. The on-site team of staff were helpful at all times and, perhaps most importantly, offer an extensive and reasonably priced food menu, which led to us eating in the hotel multiple times during our time in Siem Reap (a very welcome option after a day exploring the temples). The owner, Gilles, was also extremely accommodating and made a point of greeting us and offering advice throughout our stay, including helping to arrange transport to and from the sites of Angkor. We would highly recommend a stay at Villa Agati and hope to return one day.
