Beware of the low beam on the terrace!

The room was nothing special but quite good. The main advantage is the ocean right next to the terrace. One of the best beaches on the northern side of Sri Lanka.

The rooms only have windows on the hallway so that there is zero change of air. The toilet has no windows but it has some holes in the wall communicating with the toilet of the next room, which is quite disgusting.

The location is perfect, the beach and the terrace are really nice and the staff is so kind.

TV in our room did not work, bit we didn't mind too much.

This place is located directly on the beautiful Dutch Bay Beach. It is peaceful and quiet and there is good food next door. Water is clear and they arrange boat tours for you far from quarrelsome Uppavelli and way more fair. The house is simple and clean, beds are comfortable and there is well working WiFi and AC. A total recommendation!

If the AC is on in multiple rooms, in room no 4 you can hear strong and loud noise and vibrations of AC units behind the wall (Fortunately it happened for only one night.)

Manager is really friendly and helpful. Very close to an excellent Indian restaurant. Short walk from the Fort, a bit of a longer one from the bus station. Beach outside is quite nice and makes it very easy to organise diving trips.

The Dutch bay beach is very nice and clean and Cristal clear water, we enjoyed it well.. also the rooms were good and clean

The break in the bathroom wall meant I could hear VERY clearly the men next door doing their business in the toilet. I was privy to all their LOUD conversation until midnight then again at 3:30 in the morning. On the 2nd night I was the only guest and the employee finished at 5pm. No staff on the premises. There was no obvious way to get help if I needed it. No 24 hrs reception as indicated on booking.com write up.

Property is on a clean beach edge although there were various boats out in front. The location is great for seeing the Temples , Fort, and Church. The employee tried very hard to sort things out, he is the treasure at this place There was a kettle available so you could boil water, make tea etc.

There was a beeping sound in the main room which went on all night. We didn't mind too much and it didn't affect our sleep but we heard it a bit quieter in our room still.

Very nice terrace with a great view. The host is very friendly and helpful. A nice coral reef is just 10 min walk along the beach. Everything is very clean and the beds were comfortable.

The water at Dutch Beach is significantly clearer than in Nilaveli. The tourists are taken by boat from Nilaveli to Dutch Beach for expensive money; from here snorkeling is free. Accommodation with very friendly owner.

Arrived to find the hotel was being renovated. No common or seating areas available. Owner was incredibly grumpy, and seemed annoyed when asked to provide basics like a blanket for the bed and drinking water. No drinking water, tea, coffee available - not expecting a huge breakfast buffet or multiple meals, but no way to get even a basic drink, and nowhere to sit apart from inside the room.

very unfriendly staff who seemed very surprised we had arrived despite having a booking. it was a young couple who barely spoke to us and spend most of their time sitting on the sofa together staring at us every time we walked by. it was a different guy at the desk when we checked out who also barely said a word to us. very strange vibe and happy to leave. oh and we asked about wifi and was told there was none.
