Guests can also give separate subscores in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. Guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently – there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaWe loved everything about our stay! The staff was incredible, so thoughtful and always aiming to do more to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The physical space is stunning and the expansion they’re opening is arguably even more beautiful - we hope to come back when it’s operational! The location was perfect for exploring Fes, we were able to walk everywhere. Cannot say enough good things!

SpainWe spent a lot of time to choose our place to stay in Fez. Many hours of reading reviews and we we're delighted with our choice. This hotel's attention to detail is simply perfect and we loved our stay ... we we're made to feel it was our new home in Fez. The hotel arranged a taxi for us to pick us up at the airport and it was a very rainy day in February and we we're greated by a very friendly concierge with an umbrella for us to escort us to the hotel ... it was only a short 30 second walk down the narrow streets of the medina to the hotel but was really appreciated ... the room was exceptional sometimes the pictures make the room look better than it is but our room was exactly as described. True to the authentic Marrocon design as the riad was originally designed ... very high ceilings ... beautiful bedroom ... no corners cut to give a true authentic feel as to exactly in the day what it was like to live in such a place ... the staff we're so pleasant .. breakfast and dinner was delightful ... I could not recommend this Riad more. Perfect location to restaurants and walks in the medina. Of course if we visit Fez again we'll be staying here.

RomaniaWe enjoyed everything.
We loved our stay at Le Grand Alcazar-Riad. Omar & Othmane are the best hosts, helping us to really feel like Home. They advised us also with our route arrangements, proposing us a transfer to Tangier through Chefchaouen & Akchour, adapting the whole route and schedule to our needs. The two smiling Fatimas prepare the best breakfast, and Youssef was very helpful with all our requests. We enjoyed it so much that we extended the stay with one more night. We were lucky to enjoy 2 different rooms: Turquoise and Garnet Suite. We recommend the Le Grand Alcazar - Riad experience, cause it is not merely an accomodation.

United States of AmericaNone.
Le Grand Alcazar is run by two brother that are the nicest gentlemen. They are so accommodating and respectful. They have done such a wonderful job renovating the riad and keeping the historical parts of the building. We stayed in the turquoise room which was decorated beautifully. The courtyard is well kept and we loved sitting there to sip on Moroccan tea and eat desserts. The breakfast was also superb!

What a beautiful place to stay! Every detail in the place is exquisite from the carved wood doors, to the mosaics to the furniture. Stunning. And the people - Omar, Ghizlane and the team are wonderful. They helped us with all kinds of questions and options - even outside of Fes! Thanks for a beautiful stay!

United States of AmericaThis is an experience you don't want to miss in Fez. Out of the four Riad's we visited in Morocco, none compare to the hospitality, care and quality that we received at Le Grand Alcazar. The property is absolutely beautiful, the level of service was superb and the food from breakfast and room service was delicious. Thank you to the brothers who own the property and their thoughtful staff for making us feel so welcome and comfortable.

South AfricaI’m a tall guy so the bathroom door was a bit low but it’s a given because it’s a heritage building, if you do stay here ask the hotelier to give you a room with a bigger bathroom door, he was very willing to change my room.
I loved everything about the property. The architecture was beautiful, it was quaint and set in a beautiful but also vibrant street. It was clean and comfortable.

United KingdomThe only facility that was missing was a swimming pool - but we understand that one will be installed by next year.
We would firstly like to thank Othmane and Omar for hosting us at Le Grand Alcazar and making us feel welcome and at home in Fes’ ancient medina. Upon arrival we were welcomed with mint tea and biscuits after our long drive from the desert. What a beautiful hotel! As Othmane said, each room is like a museum, as well as the reception area with dazzling, intricate Arabic artwork, combined with a tasteful and modern colour scheme. Our photos cannot do justice and in reality it looks better than the video on the Riad’s website. We appreciated the arctic air conditioning during our stay in July/August and the very convenient location, leas than five minutes walk from the blue gate. A big thanks also to Ghizlane and Majda for looking after myself and my family, helping to arrange tours and overseeing an amazing and generous breakfast spread that was varied every morning. My children were treated to mint tea and taught how to brew it back home. The standard of accommodation and level of service would be appropriate for a 5 star hotel in Europe and we felt pampered and refreshed during our stay. I was on a wild goose chase for an FM Bluetooth adapter (which even in the UK is not easy to find in stores) and Othmane was very generous in locating one and even offering to pick it up for me. It is not possible to find fault with Le Grand Alcazar, we hope we can visit again soon!

United States of AmericaThere is really only one small element of our stay could have been improved, and it has little to do with the Riad. Omar and Otmane recommended a tour guide to show us around the city, and while he was great at preventing us from “getting lost”, he really only took us shopping and didn’t share a lot about Fes’ history. It seemed like the guide wanted to only take us to his preferred shops and restaurants, and he didn’t quite follow our request for areas to explore and things to learn. We still enjoyed the day with him and would recommend him to anyone looking to explore the Medina, but not for any history lovers!
Our stay at Le Grand Alcazar exceeded all expectations. We said numerous times throughout our stay that this Riad was the nicest in all of our visits around Morocco, and deserves to have every room filled at all times. It’s a hidden treasure, and I am confident this place will boom with the return of tourism in years to come. From the start, the owners welcomed us like their family and showed incredible kindness and hospitality. Like something out of a movie, we felt immediately at home at Le Grand Alcazar. They then helped us familiarize ourselves with Fes, recommended an itinerary for our trip, and secured a tour guide for the next day. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the courtyard, including a complementary family recipe appetizer. They also served tea and snacks throughout our stay. The rooms were gorgeous - filled with ornate details and glamour that made the Riad feel original and beautiful around every corner. The lobby was equally beautiful with flowers and plants to complement the high courtyard. Fes is an amazing city, and I would highly recommend any travelers to stay at Le Grand Alcazar when they visit. Omar and Otmane, we cannot thank you enough!

United States of AmericaIt's a traditional Riad which is an equivalent of a Bed and Breakfast in the western world. Please expect don't expect it to be Hotel where you are just a room number. If you are in Fes, you need to stay here.
Excellent traditional Moroccan Riad. The owner and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. They were eager to show traditional Moroccan hospitality and they succeeded. Very beautiful property with impressive Moroccan architecture and decoration. The courtyard is absolutely stunning. A very comfortable place to relax with family and explore Fes. Owner Mr. Omar Belkhayat spent a significant time with us explaining the Riad and the historical and cultural aspects of Morocco. Highly recommend this Riad.
