Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe location is awful for solo travelers! It s very hard to reach by tax and the area in general is too 'local' (not ideal for a lady coming back alone in the evening, let s say...)
The Riad inside, particularly the courtyard and the Staff!

DenmarkAbsolute pleasure from arrival yo departure. Great and helpful staff all day and evening (shout out to the evening manager Mr Noureddine who was an absolute star). Riad was cleaner than the 3* hotel I moved to the week after. Breakfast is served from 8 to 10 Im the type who doesnt book the same place twice, but I could actually consider a stay Riad Alwane again 🔥 Location is a 25 minutes walk from Jemaa El Fna, and the wifi is superb

United KingdomThe rooms had no windows :-( but i hardly stayed in the room. There is a nice rooftop upstairs i got to do my work on the laptop in the sunshine. The location took time to work out but having a designated taxi driver helps to find your way back.
Being a solo female traveler the staff made my stay one to remember for life. The way they made sure i stay safe outside, designated me with a taxi driver.

United StatesAs other travelers have posted, the riad is 25-minute walk from the Medina. Vehicles cannot fit down the road of the riad, but they will get you within a two-minute walk. The neighborhood looks a little sketchy, but we felt safe. The locals in that area sometimes offered to help us or hailed us as we walked by. There are a lot of children playing in the streets in this area, I think that's a good sign it's more on the safe side.
The hosts are so hospitable and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was superb, from welcoming us when we returned for the day, or preparing breakfast and dinner to accommodate our schedule, and bringing us tea in the evening. We had to leave early one morning before breakfast and they even prepared some food to-go for us! The dinners here are amazing and we highly recommend! Our favorite dish of the trip was prepared by the riad: the beef with figs!

MoroccoI didn’t like the location of the Riad, what makes it hard to find.
It’s a lovely Riad, calm with a clean room. The decoration of the riad is very traditional and the pool in heart of the riad add a confortable atmosphere.

United KingdomThe location. It was quite hard to find once we first arrived. However our taxi driver located us to the right alley way. On google maps this won’t work so maybe ask the driver for help or contact riad. It is generally safe with the locals in the streets and is only a 15/20 minute walk to the souks. It’s a 20 minute walk away from main attraction (Ben youseff ) and atay cafe.
Riad alwane will forever have a special place in my heart. First time being in Morocco and got to stay in this beautiful boutique riad. I’d say for the price you are paying you are getting your moneys worth, with a lovely sun top terrace to lay and down stairs with a pool that was too cool for us to go on but lovely for the atheistic. You have a yummy breakfast every morning with the sun shining down on you.

United KingdomGetting to the Location was a hassle, because I traveled alone I just paid the locals to take me to the Riad.
Breakfast at Riad Alwanee was “maginific” as the French would say, they had pancakes, jam, honey, mint tea/coffeee, bread, cup cakes, And the list goes on! The rooms have personality and so does the Riad.

Germany– The neighborhood is really poor, more so than the rest of the medina. Make sure to always get home during daylight hours or be prepared to get followed by (groups of) people that’ll try to provide little services or just beg for money directly, and intensely. – We could hear everything through the walls and the plexiglass of the winter garden. – When we paid the city tax and asked for a receipt, they would first make fun of it, then look through several drawers, and eventually scribble some sentences in arabic on a notepad. We later found out that it‘s quite common to not provide receipts in Morocco but I still feel like a request like that should be handled a lot more professionally
– Cleaned daily and thoroughly by three nice and respectful people – Quite beautiful on the inside, especially the court part – When we had a bad experience on our way to the riad, the manager was able to deescalate the situation

IrelandThe issue we had with the Riad was it's location - we did not expect it to be in a position where you had to walk through the equivalent of an industrial estate then the narrow streets where you were constantly followed and chased by aggressive begging or intimidating gangs. I have travelled the world and never left accommodation early but it felt too unsafe leaving and getting back to the house.
The staff were excellent and very accommodating and the house was beautiful
