Noisy location at times. I’m a heavy sleeper so it didn’t bother me too much, especially if I played some white noise. Just wish I could have utilized the hammock more in the evenings without hearing the club music nearby! Bed was okay. My friend stayed in the suite and had a lovely down comforter that I was jealous of! Wish there was more of a beach area but I understand this is just Mother Nature at play :) Also very minor, but I got to-go coffee a few times and the lids always seemed to leak.

Breakfast was amazing, looooved the green juice! Scenery was beautiful, and having a hammock was so lovely. Ice cream from hotel restaurant was amazing!!

If your sleep is light, you might be a bit annoyed by the music from party clubs that are just a block away. We stayed through the weekend, so not sure if this is the same case on weekdays.

Almost everything. It is lovely to be able to go in the morning and have breakfast in front of the beach. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Room, equipment working and in overall goos condition. The area is super centric and this is mostly a pro with a small "but".

bed was awfully uncomfortable. I tossed and turned all night. couldn't flush toilet paper had to put in a trash can. for the price and location it's fine but I wouldn't stay here longer than a night.

Occasionally music on high volume from nearby clubs/restaurants (but when you close the doors/windows and use the ceiling fan or aircondition the music fade).

Wonderful beachfront location. Close to 5th Avenue (calle 5), beach, boats to Cozumel, bus station, restaurants, taxis, etc. Breakfast was superb and located at the beach. Nice interior and beautiful garden next to the rooms which is lit up by lamps in the trees. Very kind and helpful hotel staff and very good service at the restaurant.

We really did not appreciate the loud music in the restaurant at dinner. If the hotel advertises dining to the "sound of waves", we should be able to hear them, right? The balcony door needed convincing to completely shut - nothing that could not be achieved by strong persuasion. The battery on the remote for the AC died late in the evening, so we had to manually turn the AC on and off.

Comfortable hotel, not too far from the main tourist attractions but on a quiet street and right on the beach. Food at Lido was exceptional, probably the best we experienced in our Cozumel/Playa del Carmen visit.

If you need quietness to sleep early on a Friday night, forget this place. The beach club downstairs is on with DJ playing music til 2 or 3 am. In fact the whole town is partying Friday nights, and I'm gonna guess all weekend evenings and maybe even more? Ask locals or staff to check that. My experience was Friday night. I embraced it and slept with window open with the music which was quite an experience. But if you cannot handle it just pick a quieter hotel.

At the beach with a nice beach club right there. Super friendly staff and helpful. Easy to reach anywhere in the beach town by foot. Food at the beach club was nice too. Breakfast there was lovely. Fully immersive experience of Playa del Carmen. 😎

The beach is very small and they dont have many sunbeds

Breakfast was included and the food was excellent by the beach! They have their own sunbeds that are prioritised for people for the hotel. Location was excellent very close to nightlife, restaurants, main street and very safe. Even though it was close to the clubs I could hear any noise at night from my room, so that was excellent.

There is playing music from the beach club or clubs nearby (not sure where from) until 2am which you‘ll hear in the rooms. For us, it was only a bigger issue in the first night, afterwards we got used to it. But we didn’t need ear plugs to find sleep, maybe because of the location of our room. Somehow, showering was a bit difficult, the water was either too hot or too cold with low water pressure. But it wasn’t too big of an issue.

We had a great stay at Colibri beach Hotel. The location is amazing, right in the middle of everything. The beach club right in front of the sea (where you will have breakfast) has great ambience and the breakfast was of good quality (á la carte, to choose from approx. 6-7 items). Yes, the beach in front is a small strip (as displayed on the official pictures) but beach beds were outside ( in March) and we could enjoy the sun. Not sure how it is in other months of the year. The use of beach beds is free of charge (this has been stated differently in other reviews) and you get 10% discount in the beach bar on food and drinks.

Only downfall of this hotel is our of there control, the music from two nearby nightclubs that goes into the morning on weekends.

My wife and I have stayed here several times now over the last several years. The location is fantastic, the staff is great and the restaurant is amazing. The rooms are basic, always clean, but have improved over the years, the beds are a bit firm. The biggest downfall is the music from the nightclubs down the street but for the location, both to 5th Ave and right on the beach, and value this hotel provides we consider it worth the price. The beach chairs are for hotel guests but outsiders can use them if are open and they pay a fee and buy drinks from the restaurant. We will return next year.

Due to the location, there is a lot of loud music and it's not as quiet as I would have liked. This is not the fault of the hotel, just proximity to nightlife.
