Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandThe only thing for me that let your hotel down was that there was only one bar in the evening open and this closed at 11am. When you go on holidays one would like the option of having a few drinks before 12 at least.
I like everything about the hotel. It was very classy and ideal for a group travelling especially anyone with kids.

United States of AmericaThere were stains on our bedding and I didn’t feel the room was very clean. The hallways were littered with trash and dirty room service dishes all day. Also the restaurant food was pricey and not very good.

Puerto RicoThe furniture and decoration is outdated, the bathtub needed more cleaning and the room floor was dirty with beach sand.
The room was comfortable but outdated. You will have access to the most beautiful beach but it isn't recommended for swimming. The breakfast buffet was much more than expected, it included breakfast and lunch options, everything was overrated. Servers were very pleasant and friendly.

United States of AmericaThe quality of alcoholic beverages served were poor, the fine dinning restaurants had very limited options in food, no English speaking stuff and the check in were little difficult.
The room and hotel location in front of the beach, facilities like pools, hot pools, kids pool, food and drink services at beach, the main restaurant which serves the breakfast buffet, the view from the restaurant was awesome, the service at this restaurant.

AustraliaConfusion around the wristbands as we had chosen non inclusive. We tried to charge our drinks/food to our room but they wouldn't accept that, so we had to carry around a credit card to pay. The next day was fine for us to charge to our room though! However, there were only two restaurants operating, and both fully booked, so the first night we had to eat in the sports bar, and we left the hotel the second night for dinner as the restaurants were fully booked again.
swimming pools were nice, very close to the beach as well, nice cocktails. clean and comfortable rooms.

AustriaThe staff does not pay enough attention to the guests. Sometimes they prefer to chat or use their phone. They are often not on time. Very touristy environment. Lunch and dinner taste average like in all large international hotels. No big differences from day to day. Lots of bureaucracy, manual list management at lunch and dinner.
Excellent breakfast, hotel located right at the beach.

United States of AmericaRooms were nice but seemed to smell of some mildew and you could see water damage along ceiling in our particular room. We also booked an oceanview king room and we weren’t able to get our room until 3:45pm the day we arrived and it definitely was not an ocean view, it was a courtyard view.
We really enjoyed the food and pools at Emporio. Staff was nice and bed was comfy.

United KingdomThe Italian restaurant was a disappointment. Rooms start looking tired. Lots of stairs everywhere, which is not ideal for people with mobility issues. On one occasion, our room was cleaned until 7:00 pm.
Very polite staff, good food, nice beach, nice swimming pools and jacuzzis. No restaurant or swimming pool was too busy.

United States of AmericaNone of the workers at the hotel seem to be happy. Everyone works very slowly. It took me 25 minutes to get two coffees from the Starbucks. This wouldn’t be the case if they had actual coffee at breakfast. The whole breakfast scene is a hot mess. It takes way too long to get your food at omelet and tortillas station. The servers are all very nice but it’s the kitchen staff and the workers around the hotel that look miserable. I don’t think this hotel is paying their workers enough. The music is bumping all the time at the hotel and it is so loud. I don’t understand why this is necessary. There are so many daybeds scattered throughout the property and you have to pay to use them which makes no sense. There are far too many stairs and when checking in the staff does not go over anything. They give you a welcome packet and send you on your way. I asked about restaurants and she didn’t know. I didn’t realize there were many stairs on the property it would’ve been nice if at check-in they had said this is the easiest way for you to get to and from the beach or the restaurant or to the lobby. All she had to do was draw things out on a map. I can’t tell you the number of times I had to give directions to elderly or slightly disabled folks to get to their destination in the easiest manner
The beach access is incredible from our window. Balcony was exceptional. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, which is convenient for going into town. The only restaurant we could eat at was CUA because the other restaurants did not seem to have a cash option. I like that there was a Starbucks on site, but it is very expensive.
