Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI rated this hotel for what it is - as opposed to how I liked it. I stayed 2 days and 1 night (left late 2nd night for another city). I was glad I was only there 1 night - overall I didn't care much for it - I want a closed controllable climate in my room. I chose it because it is very near the ADO bus terminal and I was arriving and leaving by bus. It was a brief, easy walk for this oldster.
This is an extremely charming hotel and the staff are warm and friendly and helpful. Cleanliness is superb. The bed is excellent. The hotel is situated in a very cool area of tourist hotels and restaurants. One could not ask for a nicer, safer area. I would say the room (and the hotel) is akin to a grand, permanent tent. It is 'open air' to the extent that the hotel itself is open - all hallways, etc. - to the outside air (not to people having access or walking through). While only the fan on the A/C unit in my room worked, that didn't matter because there is a permanently open screened area in the bathroom and bedroom and the air can just flow through - so A/C wouldn't matter much anyway. No heat function. There is also a large screened window that may be opened or closed. All the fresh air you could want! The hotel and room decor are fresh, clean, attractive, very pleasant in every sense. The room is quite small, but sufficient for one person. The bathroom is very adequate and not cramped. Shower is hot - though shower head really needs replacement. The bottom floor is the hotel reception in one corner and the rest of the front part is a restaurant which continues to the outside - not part of the hotel. Rooms are on another part of the ground floor and on the 2nd and 3rd floors mostly. If you like a relaxed feel, fresh open air, and a pleasant, relaxed, walkable area and don't mind a small room - you will probably love this place. I just prefer 'closed' air where humidity can be controlled along with temperature and more 'standard' hotel infrastructure.

United States of AmericaA few of the rooms are in a separate building a few doors down. This is where I stayed, so I can only speak to this experience- it was a bit loud. You could hear the noise outside very clearly and the curtains didn't block the lights out that well at night. To that extent, I didn't hear noise all night by any means- it was quiet from midnight to 7am for the most part.
VERY clean! Excellent location. Very nice staff.

DenmarkCan be a bit noisy in the evening from restaurants playing Cuban music, but not unpleasant. No drinking in the street
Situated in a pretty, leafy area with several hotels and restaurants. Close to the highway and shuttles to the archaeological zone of Palenque. The area is a bit above midrange but very cosy with lots of references to the maya history

United States of AmericaConvenience: The property is in walking distance of the ADO bus. Plus, it is a very inexpensive ride to the ruins. Creativity: The hotel introduces visitors to the sculptures and carvings that have made Palenque so memorable, beginning with a full size replica of the cover of Pakal's tomb. Service: The restaurant is good, servicable, and moderate. Staff: Native Spanish speakers with plenty of English.

Netherlandsit was a bit noisy sometimes, but this was due to the spacious ventilation windows that were fortunately well closed by means of insect screens. these windows bring in fresh air at the same time.
the fact that it is a museum and a hotel at the same time, when you are into Maya culture, and that’s very likely in Palenque, makes this place a must go to. nice replica’s of Maya steles. had plenty chances to do translations of the maya glyphs.

United KingdomThe staff weren't particularly friendly here, unlike all the other people we met in Mexico. The public parts of the hotel have reproduction artefacts etc. to give it interest, but the rooms are just standard hotel rooms which could be anywhere in the world.
This hotel is very reasonably priced and is in the heart of the very small area containing hotels and restaurants. To be honest, the rest of Palenque doesn't have much to offer. It's very much a base for the ruins, a 15-minute drive away, and some amazing waterfalls, a similar distance. The rooms are fine, they do the job.

United States of AmericaWalls are a bit thin if you’re near the street you can hear everything, but the town quiets down fairly early so it wasn’t a big deal.
