Spacious room size. Nicely located near the city center. Very close to Vondelpark, which is perfect if you'd like to go for a stroll.

Someone had a key to my room and walked in at 04:45 am. I have no idea who the person was or how they had a key to my room. I’m grateful as a man that I can defend myself but a female is at risk of sexual assault/rape as security is obviously non existent. I asked for the manager to investigate and get back to me but nothing has happened. I couldn’t go back to sleep and the night was ruined. DO NO STAY HERE

Bedroom was terrible. Double room booked. 2 single beds pushed together with no connection between beds and nothing to fill gap in mattress...normally no problem but completely different size mattress´ and beds where made up as singles with seperate covers and sheets, so clearly no care goes into preparing a twin room as a double. Normally a simple task. Asked for replacement or to at least make the bed up with double sheet and cover which the not so friendly gentleman on the desk grudgingly agreed to sort, it seemed he didnt want to entertain any sort of conversation let alone any request. But surprisingly came back to find the mattress was replaced with a double...good, normally, but it smells extremely bad and doesnt fit bed frames so dirt of frames is clear and obviously filthy. Extension cable for tv just hanging on the wall under tv and decoder precariously sitting on top of tv. Lost count of how many times it fell. But just to remark on it, it didnt really bother us or impact negatively on our stay...just looks terrible. Floors dirty and carpet in corridors smelly and old. Entire hotel needs a makeover, shame as it is a nice building. Normally i dont complain here but this is an exception. Waitied at reception on check out but nobody came so left without passing on remarks about bed solution and rest to management. If you are seriously not bothered and just want a bed for the night after partying in the centre, then this place is fine, if you get it at the right price. For anything else, stay well away.

The state of the room was awful. Furniture was broken or tired, wallpaper was peeling off and everything was poorly maintained.

The staff was lovely and accommodating. Reception was open 24 hours. The beds were comfortable.

The door was locked and no one opened when we rang the door bell and their phone number. We ended up booking another room after 2 hours of waiting.

The window to the room was open. This prevented us from strengthening our immune system with a new fungus. If we weren't high as kites we probably would have been worried about the loose ceiling moldings. Luckily they didnt fall on us.

The flooring was immaculate and barely had any wear and tear. The missing baseboards complemented the room with more square footage. The toilet functioned almost perfectly without intervention. It was easy to stop the toilet from running by pressing the small flush button. The cable management of the tv added extra feng shui to the room by having all the cables hanging from the wall providing you with an extra place to hang your dirty drawers. The extra duves with complimentary piss stains reminds you that you wont be cold tonight. We especially loved the multi function of the bedlights. We didnt even have to use the on/off buttons. We could just turn the light at an angle of 45 degrees to turn off.

One of the beds was extremely uncomfortable, and the lack of air conditioning made the room unbearably hot. Additionally, leaving the window open meant constantly dealing with the overpowering smell of weed. (I understand we are in Amsterdam just something to note) The toilet facilities were subpar, and both the shower head and drain fell below the standards typically expected from a 3-star hotel, in my opinion. Furthermore, there were issues with entering and exiting our rooms due to constant notifications and alarms that seemed to track our every move within the hotel. I was not aware that bringing friends into the hotel was prohibited. For instance, my friend had the key card and entered the premises just five minutes prior, yet I was still required to check into the hotel. While I understand the need for security, I explained to the hotel staff that my friend had gone up to the room just a few minutes earlier. If I wanted to experience the conditions of a prison camp, I would have committed a crime instead of paying to be detained.

I booked and paid for a hotel room, but they gave me something in the basement behind the toilets - for 150 euros per night. Everybody on the street can look into your room. Smell of urine. Not clean. Dead insects. Next to a loud street. Very dark room. Everything else was ok.
