Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNot enough beach towels. One chair on balcony with a room for 2. You have to iron your clothes in the lobby. Hair dryers have to be checked out at the front desk.
Close to everything. Outdoor seating to gather and have a quick meal. Nice view of the lagoon.

CanadaWhen opening the balcony door, you have a huge unfinished/abandoned building right in your face. Absolutely no view and it gives an impression of being in a ghetto. There are doors to access each floors right at the end of the stairs so to open it, you have to grab the knob then go back 3-4 steps down to be able to open it completely to be able to pass with your suitcases . Not practical. They should just remove those doors and leave the entrance to levels opened. So stay at the lowest floor possible. You have access to the pool of the hotel next to El Canario, but we didn't use it as the pool area was dirty and not so appealing.
Breakfast was good (sausage, waffle machine, toasts, muffins, croissant and pastries, muffins, yogurt..). Nice terrasse to get your breakfast outside, easy walk to restaurants &beach. We could walk to Enterprise condado plaza to get our rental car, close to airport, spacious room, staff friendly and accommodating.

United StatesThe photos (prior to booking) shows the beach making you think you can see the beach from this hotel, but you can't. They show a pool and rooftop, but the pool is not in the same building, they said the pool was next door? ( Comfort Inn is next door) and I don't know what the rooftop view is from, we were never told we could go to the roof top. There's a lot of construction on the same street and it was nice that they warn you prior to purchasing the hotel. Every morning during the week day the construction workers wake you up with loud noises. We rented a car "big mistake" because there is NO parking available to park for free around the hotel. The street parking is never available unless you get lucky to find a spot. There's a parking garage a block 1/2 away where you can park your rental safety, but the fee is $20 overnight parking.
The stay was comfortable and maids cleaned to rooms everyday ++ the breakfast was very good. The first morning they had 3 difference omelettes which was a plus, but the following mornings "no omelettes." Overall the breakfast was good. The location was few blocks from the beach, shopping and restaurants; within walking distance for us. There's a laundry room to wash your beach items, that's nice. For the price and comfort the hotel worked for us; we were out most of the day so the stay was good for the price we paid. I would recommend the hotel if you're on a tight budget.

United StatesThe elevator was a bit scary and small twice did not register my floor request. The only other issue was construction nearby and lack of lighting on the streets near the construction. I realize this is not the hotels fault but they should contact the city or the construction company to try to remidy the situation.
The location was great. The breakfast was great much more than I expected. Very clean and with pool.and hot tub gym usage.

United StatesConstruction next door wasn't great. Garage parking was available nearby for $20 a night. Would be nice to have better options. There's a $15 per room per day resort fee.
Simple hotel in good location. The family rooms with separate kitchen/living space were great. The king room was very basic. There is good space in the lobby to gather, and we appreciated the patio tables for breakfast. Staff was friendly. Very clean.

United StatesThere was construction happening at the building next to us that was loud early in the morning, but that was outside of the hotel's control of course. Otherwise the stay was great.
The hotel and staff were great! Small tidy rooms and everything was super clean. Walking distance to the beach and all the major nearby stores and restaurants. Seemed like a pretty safe corner of San Juan at all hours.

United StatesCoffee could be made available in room. Next door breakfast a bit weird..wait at window for a to go package of food that was cold. I used lobby microwave and ate it on the patio which made it nicer. I didn't get a chance to visit beach and wish I had! Maybe next time...and please have elevator checked. It was a bit clunky. We usually used stairs except for with luggage, but elevator was outside our door and seemed a bit off.
Location, price, patio, but my husband really thought he would be able to smoke on our room balcony and was disppointed that he had to leave building. I hate smoking myself so it was ok with me!
