The bed was the only thing letting the rooms down as mattress was quite hard and uncomfortable to sleep on.

Room and balcony was pleasant. Pool was nice to sit by in the afternoon sun. Ideal distance from the busier Albuferia and a good walking distance to closer and smaller beaches.

The walls were quite thin, so we could hear other guests who came in late.

We had a private balcony and a fridge, the room was cleaned daily and the staff were lovely. There is a small shop across the road with all the basics you might need. The swimming pool is never busy and there were always spaces to relax. This hotel was a wonderful quiet break from the noisy town, a place to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

An issue for me was the noise,I feel like the rooms are not soundproof,doors neither,because I could hear anyone passing in the hallway. There's was a strong buzz coming out in a couple of nights,which made it hard to fall asleep.

Staff is absolutely fantastic,friendly, kind and extremely helpful! Breakfast choices are good,and the fact that you can have breakfast outdoor by the pool makes it such a pleasant moment. The decor of the rooms is also very nice,the wood all around made it cosy. Another thing I liked is the balcony,especially to enjoy the evening breeze.

Nothing really . There was a big tree outside our balcony , which seemed to be one of the smallest compared to the others. Would have preferred a different room with a sunbed as any of the other balconies we saw had.,

The pools were great, spotlessly clean. The food was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and spacious .

The bed was not very comfortable. Half way through your stay we had to go to a different hotel for professional reasons and that’s when we noticed why we had not been sleeping well. Obviously this is very personal and some people might find it good. Also the Aircon was not working properly, which added more discomfort. This is not a major problem. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

I liked everything.

The hotel is very close to the beach. There is two swimming pools. The room was spacious for 2 persons. The beds were really comfortable. The breakfast was also good. Staff were 5 stars. There was always parking space outside.

A great pool, a nice hotel restaurant just above it, a room with a pool view. Location is also nice (the nearby beach Praia Maria Luisa is not the best beach at the Algarve, but the location is nice, near Falesia beach and out of too busy Albufeira)

It's a little noisy from outside noise from the apartment blocks if in the garden pool area.But you can't hear it so much from main pool area .

Otherwise it was fabulous, all the staff were superb especially in the bar and restaurant area , couldn't do enough to help you , taking so much care with spacing and cleaning , everything is amazing value too .The hotel is consistently being cleaned ,the maids do a fantastic job making beds every day ,its fantastic value for money. We had a value room with breakfast ,you would not have known as it had plenty of space and a balcony. The breakfast was great ,your cooked items made and brought out to you .The reception staff were always helpful too.Its a great little find with a short walk to a beautiful beach, shop over the road, a few restaurants a little further and taxi cheap to visit a bit further afar .We were very weary of going due to covid but were soon put at ease with the restrictions and cleaning.

Beds weren't great - neither of us were overly happy. I had an item of mine misplaced which appeared to be thrown out for no reason at all and staff weren't very helpful in trying to resolve the matter for me which was frustrating.

Breakfast buffet was very good. Staff were pleasant. Cheap and cheerful. Pool area is lovely.

The staff at reception and by the pool were incredibly friendly & helpful. The pool is perfect, always beds available and are cleaned regularly. Room was cleaned, beds were made & also fresh towels every morning. Would definitely recommend and return to this hotel. Great place to stay & only 40mins from the airport.

Had to shake the toilet to get it to flush and sometimes it still didn't work. Breakfast finished very early. Someone went into our room without us giving permission.

Mattrace was too hard for my taste, but you may use duvets or blankets which are in the wardrobe and lay on them. Swimming pool opened just till 19. Other than that, the hotel was perfect and will definitely be back when in Portugal, of course if they have rooms available.

What I liked the most were the facilities: - 3 swimming pools, we only used the largest one which was very clean, not too much chlorine in water, very few people swimming in it - Bar and restaurant by the pool, Bar in the hotel - Large nice room and bathroom Also: - Safe and refrigerator in the room for free - Hair dryer, air conditioning, TV, very good Wi-Fi - Cleanliness and Daily cleaning - peace and quiet, pleasant staff, not too many guests in the first week of June - 300m to a beautiful swimmable Maria Luisa beach, other 3 beaches nearby - affordable restaurants with fresh and tasty food nearby - stores nearby (quite expensive though) The truth is I have been to 4* hotels, which did not provide that much comfort and such good facilities as Balaia Mar.
