Room 203: The coffee pot : funny , but I left water in it over night : and the pot is leaking (see the salt residue in the pictures The shower room : the drain is a bit clogged meaning every shower there will be a flood. Luckily there is a secondary drain hole in the room center and water do not reach the door. Room 204: the shower temperature selector is controlled by a round knob. Under high water pressure , the knob will shift slowly to the hot side. So keep a hand so the knob will not turn too much and burn you.

Bare in mind the hotel is being renovated / Many rooms are completely new and modern (they even smell new). Having said that, it also means that it is a construction site. started in April 2022 and construction is still strong in June. The work is also on the outside shell of the hotel so prepare yourself for noise of heavy drilling (in the mornings-afternoon). I think the hotel should state it is being renovated (for those who are late sleepers). Pictures on the web site matches reality. Room: I’ve taken two rooms: 203 and 204 (on 12/June/2022) as they have a connecting door. 203 is a room designed for wheelchairs. Wide doors, no step in shower, no glass walls, hanging sink, iron rails around the toilet and shower, handicap tap , etc. Room 204 is a “standard” room. Linens are clean and bed is comfortable. All rooms are with showers (not bath). They have (excellent) A/C which , coffee corner (tea) , LCD TV , glasses , tiny minibar fridge. No iron and no hair drier. There was hot water every time I tried the shower. No issues here. Curtains: 2 layers and they can block 100% of the sun light or use 1 soft layer to get blurred light. keep them shut as workers can see you while they climb up the construction elevator. Room service: they came every day and were very responsive. Breakfast: The restaurant is one floor above the reception desk and has a wide variety of vegetables, cakes, coffee machine and hot dishes. A really good breakfast (hot + cold). 3 types of bread : all fresh. Casual dinner: the hotel also provides at reception level a cheap yet tasty meal ( dinner or lunch). 28 lei. Every day a different (limited) selection. Internet: The hotel wifi is free and password-less. It has a very good response. I got 99Mbps download and 50Mbps upload speed. You could work a little bit with your breakfast. The pancakes were awful. Don't know if are always the same, but mine and my daughter's were not ok at all. I didn't liked the breakfast coffee either. But i can live with that. So, for me the breakfast was a little disappointing. This is my only -

BREAKFAST WAS TOO POOR ONLY THE BASICS AND NOT GOOD QUALITY.THE CLEANING OF THE ROOM WHEN WE RECEIVED IT COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE BETTER.ALSO AND THE OUTSIDE AREA OF THE HOTEL WITH TABLES FOR SMOKING.

Everything was fine until my last day - (23/04) when I returned to my room that evening I found it EXACTLY in the state I left it that morning - i.e. NO CLEANING WAS DONE WHATSOEVER .

The day we arrived the restaurant was closing, and this reception manager, with bad manners and total lack of education told us that we could neither dine in the restaurant nor room service, ignoring us from then on. He did not offer any solution nor did he recommend us what to do. The first time you arrive in a completely unknown country and city, one needs more help and expectation from your hotel (and more from those in charge). I have stayed in many hotels in many countries, and honestly this was a first for me.

The location is good, close to main avenues and a 10min walk from the entertainment area. The hotel is new and the exterior is still being refurbished. We arrived by car and access was easy. The friendliness of (almost) all the staff.

There is a approx. 2 cm threshold between hall and bathroom, this can be an ugly tripping point for the person wanting to to enter the bathroom. This should be either marked or eliminated. Not too much local food for breakfast. Music played in the breakfast room was too loud.

Good location withing walking distance to many city attractions. Excellent choice of TV channels. Nice set of bathroom amenities. Good WiFI.

The bathtub which has a glass shield to avoid water spilling on the floor is not fitted well and due to this water was on the floor all over. I had to put a towel on the entire floor to wipe it off

The room I stayed in faced the main street, which tends to be a bit loud. The room itself felt a bit old, 'beaten up' ... so if you're into the room looking new and fresh, this might not be it.

The hotel had a parking lot, which came in hand. The room was a good sized one. The location was pretty central, within walking distance from the 'old centre'.
