Nothing to dislike

We so enjoyed staying at Hotel Slamic. We spent four nights in Ljubljana and the accommodation is perfectly placed for visiting the old town and also close to pick up points for the day trips we did. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Plenty of floor and cupboard space for luggage. Breakfast was included and was ordered and prepared in a novel way. We ordered the day before and nominated a time for service. This system worked extremely well, helping to ensure there is no wastage. The serves are very generous and include choices of continental or cooked… or both😊. The staff, family who run the business, were very helpful and friendly. I do not hesitate in recommending Hotel Slamic as your home in Ljubljana.

Only one detail comes to mind that could be improved: the container for shower detergent and shampoo is placed on the floor but you could try fixing a dispenser to the wall to avoid elderly or sick people having to bend down to take it because there are no holders in the shower.

The room was really comfortable, the bed comfortable and the space available was ample. I was pleasantly surprised by the technology and attention to safety. The bathroom electrical sockets are powered separately only when needed. You can also connect your phone to the bathroom mirror through Bluetooth to listen to music. The thing that struck me most is the attention to avoiding food waste. Breakfast is rich but you have to fill out a list the night before so that only what you need is prepared. At the end of breakfast you realize that there is no waste on the plate: the jam is served in a glass jar to be washed and reused. The butter comes on the saucer and the fruit juice in washable and reusable glass bottles. No plastic or other waste. Just a paper towel. The owners are musicians and the background music is very pleasant. Furthermore, in the evening there are bands that play live in the venue. The hotel is close to the station and close to the central square in the sense that these places can be easily reached on foot. In short, the ideal place to stay in Ljubljana.

Breakfast was great, portion made to order, variety great, quality and service superb. Room simply beautiful, clean and functional. Location superb walking distance to the main central points. Loved the jazz concert on site. Absolutely loved the irish setter Asha dog (loves to give hugs and kisses).

Excellent location, clean rooms, everything as expected and described. I liked that breakfast is ordered from previous day not to waste food.

Too much light enters the room in the morning, there are no curtains on 2 small windows and at 7am is time to wake up whether you like it or not.

The hotel is located in an excellent position, just a few minutes from the riverside walk and the main attractions. It is clean and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast a-la-carte was always well served and tasty. I would definitely stay again.
