Spa too expensive

Originally we planned 2-3 days skiing at Bovec-Kanin. Upon arrival we found out that the gondola ceesed operation. This however has nothing to do with the quality of the hotel.

Staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection. We had dinner twice which was really good.

The bag of chocolates on the bed looked like a welcome gift and we appreciated the gesture, when in reality they were part of the room minibar with paid snacks and drinks. The hotel mentions hand massage as one of their wellness services; however, after booking our room and trying to book a massage appointment we found out that in fact it was not offered at all. Finally, one of the reasons we chose Bovec as our destination was its close proximity to the Kanin ski resort, only to found out that it was closed for the season 2023/24 having already booked and paid for our room at the hotel. As a result, we had to travel to Italy every day for skiing and spend 30 min travelling in each direction. While not checking that kind of information prior to booking our trip was certainly our mistake, we feel that the fact that the hotel was advertised as being located near the resort and that there was no mention on their webiste of Kanin being closed was somewhat misleading. This is probably the biggest reason for our overall rating of our stay.

Breakfast offered a decent variety of foods that we really enjoyed and the New Year's dinner was very good, too. The kitchen accommodated my wife who is vegetarian. Sauna was great. The staff was helpful and accommodating - they even provided us with a bottle of sparkling wine for my birthday on their own initiative, which was such a pleasant surprise; much appreciated! Special thanks to Bratislav who was fantastic. The hotel is clean and quiet and the view from the balcony was lovely.

Relatively small room but for few day stays good.

Breakfast was nice. Room had view on surrounding mountains. All in all it offers value for money.

Pleasant enough. It’s in a good location near the national park. Breakfast was ok and parking was very easy in the grounds.

Too close to the road and can get a bit noisy but nothing too bad

The swimming pool was more like a very very cold small pond no way was it a swimming pool very disappointed .The dinner service was very slow we had thought of walking into town but it seems the hotel have a big party and that took up a lot of kitchen time .

Bovec is nice small town. The hotel is near town- a bit out of town. Hotel is nice. We booked because of pool due hot weather. The pool is as shown in photo. We did not use pool. Breakfast was fine. It is all fine but a bit expensive for what it is. Staff was good.

Breakfast was poor.

The room was clean and tidy. It looks out to a beautiful mountain scene and is close to Bovec amenities- all at a walkable distance. There was plenty of parking.

The cleaner shouldn't clean the room at 8:00 a.m., despite the fact that you ask her to come later, she comes again 3 times within 15 minutes. And she does not know, which guests leave the room that day.
