Had a lovely stay at Popradske pleso. The tourist room was comfortable, there was a cotton towel on each bed but the highlight was definitely the breakfast. Amazing selection, nice coffee and the location is just wonderful

The placement of the apartment is super close to the lake of Poprad, beautiful trail around the lake, it is a must to take! The food was delicious, the room was cozy and comfy. We will come back to visit Rysy next time ! :D

The honey dressing on salad was a little bit too sweet. Really a minor problem. It is just a great place to stay.

Best location, beautiful nature, good cuisine, delicious grilled fish, friendly atmosphere, no posh/fancy crowd, the best tourist basecamp, amazing view, superb wellness with hot tub.

Be warned, the self catering 'kitchen' only has a microwave and a kettle, nothing else. It also gets locked frequently.

The bunkbeds in the shared rooms were extra squeaky and not very comfy, we didnt get a great nights’ sleep which is crucial before a lomg hike. Please fix this! Also we believe the price for the pickup is too much (30€ for 3ppl).

The room I booked had photos of bunk beds and looked modern versus the room I ended up in. Other setbacks: just 2 keys and 2 usb chargers available for a room for 6. The kitchen is equipped with 2 kettles and a microwave only, plates/cups and spoons or a small pot are missing. I'd love to see a small induction plate too, for the simple reason that I am vegan and light cooking is important to me (not enough options at the restaurant, which is understandable). For 2 days I could unfortunately see the same stashed dirty plates on trays with leftover spoons in the kitchenette. The food looked like takeaway from the restaurant downstairs, perhaps of the workers onsite? Bathrooms need curtains, even if they are segregated (for men/women) The TV didn't work. It's not a complaint from my side, as I don't like to watch TV but more socialize, but it's a note to the owner. All in all I will come back, as I did now (prepared for these setbacks in the reviews). But I hope management takes these things into account, it's small things that don't cost a fortune: 1) buying usb hubs or an extension cable for the common rooms 2) equipping the kitchen a little better and ensuring it's in a decent condition (since it's so small nobody will spend extensive time cooking and will still visit the restaurant anyway, but it's nice to see a little more care) 3) add photos of the ''older'' room so people know the possibility that they may end up there 4) buy shower curtains, they can be so cheap, not only for privacy, but to avoid extensive spills through the bathroom 5) fix the TV or just remove it from the relax room, it's nicer when people just socialize :) Thank you for the overall nice stay!

I liked the following: The area is excellent for hikes Thee cleanliness of the room/bathrooms, the eco-friendly stance, are top! The free towel. The delicious wild mushroom soup on offer. The great relax room (the drawings on the blackboard were super cool. and the beanbags are very relaxing) The receptionist was kind too.

The place was outstanding. Awesome location, friendly sraff, nice atmosphere. We booked the a simple double bed room, wich was basic, and very celan. It fulfilled all our needs, expect the lack of a fridge.

Nothing. I wouldn't have come back if I hadn't been happy here the first time!

This is my second review for this hotel in the last month. I came alone in September and persuaded my wife to come with me for a late season bargain break in October. We had an economy room on the 3rd floor - this time I found out there is an alternative staircase so the narrow metal stairs don't need to be used. Good to know! The room was very pleasant, warm and clean. Nice big bathroom. As before, the breakfasts were superb. The late season price was very good value although, of course, the risk is that the weather won't allow much hiking ( we were lucky - cold and a sprinkling of snow but generally fine).

The bunkbeds in the shared dorm rooms are squeeky and none of us got proper sleep (before a challenging hike). Also the mattressed there were terrible but I hope they fix this because the rest was great. Also we think the price for the transfer is not justified, we didnt use (they offer 30€/2pp, 40€/3pp for a short ride)

Great location and services. Good communication. Wonderful newly renovated canteen, amazing breakfast, amenities include wellness (we didnt use), common showers and toilettes new.
