- Staff does not speak much English. Vast majority of the tourists are Russians, hence they speak Russian. Thus, you will probably not get a response when you have questions. - I asked if they could help with checking the bus schedules which I could not find online. They said no and told me to go to the bus terminal to check it. Hotel receptions or someone in the hotel generally have this type of info or check it for you. It was not the case here. - They take $100 deposit during check in. I asked for the reason but we could not communicate. I took it back during check out but would be good if this was mentioned during the booking. - Some guests were picking/touching food with their hands, licking fingers and then touching other food. It was a bummer! I saw signs in the restaurant telling guests not to do that but many did not seem to care.

It’s a bit old and outdated. The main door wasn’t working properly and needs to be replaced. Some of the furnitures needs care, or replacement. Bathtub had lots of scale on it and wasn’t inviting, although originally beautiful.

The stuff was super nice, attentive and helpful. Bed was comfortable. The balcony to the pool is beautiful. The ropes are beautiful.

A lot of focus on charging for lost keys and towels.. but that did not impact us. but worth knowing.

Excellent breakfast, superb pools and tropical feel garden. Excellent swim up bars and staff were all great ! Everything you needed ! Laundry service was cheap and superb. Easy to get sunbeds .. which was a nice change. Very useful having a booking company for cabs and tours on site that gave excellent deals.

No view from our room. Shortage of umbrellas round the pools. Not enough coffee/milk left daily, always had to ask for more.

Location was excellent. Beach, shops, restaurants nearby. Hotel was clean and room was cleaned daily with clean towels left daily. Good choice of breakfast. Roof top pool was amazing, lovely views. Tour guide in reception was very helpful. Tea/coffee/water in room and mini bar reasonably priced.

The rooms were a little too dark . The second pool bar wasn’t open and we had to get out and go to the other pool. The bar girls isn’t accept cash, we had to charge it to our room.

We had a wonderful time at your resort. Next time we would book a pool access as it was fully booked. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were great. Loved it when the rooms got cleaned every day.

Balcony patio doors are overlooked by entrances to apartments 10metres opposite. If the balcony curtains are open then the apartment has no privacy, if the blackout curtains are closed then it’s like living in a cave. Desperately need net curtains for privacy.

I asked for connecting rooms (accessible by terrace doors), but unfortunately they were occupied. Since we booked in time, travel with small kids and stay for a longer time than others I would think we would get the preference over others.. this was a bit disappointing.

It’s our second time at Kata Palm.We stayed for 2 weeks. We had 2 deluxe rooms, which are super spacious. The people are always very nice and helpful.

Pool areas are all fantastic! Especially the pool access rooms area. Drinks at the pool bar were also great and affordable. Room was clean and daily housekeeping was good.

The rooms are lovely, spacious, Thai vibed and clean. Slightly dated but in a charming way. The gardens are pretty and well established. They even left flowers on the bed for my birthday (DOB must have been in the booking site) so sweet!

Staff are polite but not as friendly and helpful as other Thai staff in hospitality industry. Rooms were not ready at checkin at 7pm, could also be an issue with Booking.com not providing enough information to staff The beds are hard and furniture outdated but the price of the room is fair enough given the location and other facilities.

We love our 5 days stay in Kata Palm Resort. We booked rooms with an acces to the pool, and we think it was a great decisions. The pool is very comforting. We looooves our rooms, beautiful and the housekeepers lady were very fast and always did a great job. And they always great you with their warm smile. The breakfast was excellent, appriciated the fresh fruit.

The reception was too small and not enough staff. The breakfast was not very good. Food running out in the last hour and one man making eggs for hundreds of guests was not enough. They also need to control flys and wasps on the food. There were three bars by the pools and one near reception but only one that was occasionally staffed.

The pool, gardens, and grounds were excellent.

We had single beds instead of the requested king bed and it couldn’t be changed. Room was also musty smelling but they did their best to deodorize and even worked on our air conditioning to fix the smell. This didn’t however deter from the enjoyment of the hotel, facilities and our holiday.

Location, hotel and breakfast were good. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a pool access room which was in a quiet location and perfect for our needs.
