Sat on a hill so no easy walks to either kata Noi or kata. It's not too bad but when it's so hot the walk back up seems impossible!!

Beautifully located hotel. It was possible to have quiet and tranquility overlooking the sea and also to be in the hustle and bustle within a 10 minute walk. Loved happy hour cocktail Overlooking the sea and loved our big balcony with sea views for afternoon reading. Staff were excellent

The property is beautiful and well looked after with a brilliant view. Direct access down to the beautiful beach was ideal. We had a room next to the pool, which was a brilliant size and very comfortable. Multiple pools and sun terraces to choose from which was lovely. The pool bar has a brilliant menu and the food was really good, decent cocktails too. The people working in the hotel were all lovely. I had my birthday when we stayed, and they arranged a cake for me. Highly recommend the restaurant for dinner.

The resort has an incredible location between Kata and Kata Noi. It gives you great seclusion from the busy areas in town. Kata Beach is very busy, but Kata Noi Beach is just perfect. It's a very short walk down some steps to the beach. Both town areas are very close, but you do need to walk up and down a hill or some steps. As for the stay, we stayed in an Ocean Wing suite. If you are thinking about this room, just book it now. It's a private paradise with only 6 rooms, it's own pool, lounge area and just the most incredible sunset. Sai and Ton in the Ocean Wing took care of everything, we felt very pampered there - amazing guys. Most of the time we saw only a couple of other guests in the Ocean wing, so if you are looking for privacy, this is great. Th room was nice, a bit dated but we really were out in the Ocean wing most of the time we were at the resort and not the room. The restaurant was top notch, creative food and nice views. We ended up eating at the restaurant itself once, and then ordered food from time to time directly to the Ocean wing for a private meal.

The service is first class - discrete, quick, and very effective. Our room was lovely. Well appointed, great views, comfortable bed, lots of space. Some great unexpected touches, like cake in the afternoon. Really a tremendous hotel. So cleverly done architecturally. The salt water pool in particular is gorgeous. We will be back.

Unlike the restaurant staff, the hotel staff is not well trained, resulting in a highly inconsistent service which is not up to the standard of a "luxury" resort. Many little things have been unecessarily disappointing, including for example a problem with the restroom (denied by the staff in face of contrary evidence) that would flood while using the bathtab, lots of mosquitos in the room even with windows closed at all times, charge on drinking water (only 1,33 complimentary lt per person/day). My daughter cut her toe in the sea water hotel pool: the hotel staff could not provide her with appropriate first aid for the minor cut and advised us to go to the pharmacy to buy bandage and disinfectant or go to hospital.

Excellent location, very near to a quite and nice beach. The view from the hotel and the room is simply fantastic!! I really enjoyed the place. The hotel's restaurant is amazing - the restaurant staff is professional and polite, food is amazing and fairly priced. I also liked the wide and comfortable beds in our room, as well as the easy access to the beach from the room.

This hotel is beautiful and yet absolutely outdated! It plays on a theme of a bygone royal era but neglect to stay current on the amenities that matter most! On the day of check in I was told I was “upgraded” to a suite with pool access only to find a slew of issues. First, after a long day of traveling, there was no hot water to clean up. After asking to have it fixed again it stopped working the next day. Rooms are spacious and charming but also smell musty and old! The bed was large and springy and the pillows were as flat as pancakes! I do not like leaving negative reviews and reviews in general but I am truly disappointed with the accommodations especially at the price that was charged. Do not get me started with the food. The price for dinner was the equivalent of a dinner at a fancy American restaurant and not Thai. The cost must have been to sit and look at the views but food was averaged at best. The staff I have to say it was the only silver lining. If you are looking for a place with a view and well kept grounds then this is your place. Royal is not what i would describe my experience perhaps it was when built but now fails to meet basic hospitality standards. (A place to clean yourself, and a comfortable place to to rest your head at night.

The hotel grounds I have to say are immaculate, and absolutely beautiful stunning views of the bay.
