Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere was peeling plaster on the ceiling in one corner that was falling on the table - that needs to be looked at. Also the door to the bathroom was translucent glass and no lock. That could be changed for a better experience.
Location was excellent- walking distance to sightseeing and public transport close by. Thank you to murad, mihirban and yusuf for taking very good care and answering all questions that we had. One of us was vegetarian and all care was taken to accommodate them. Would recommend and book again!!

Bosnia and HerzegovinaIn one room the bathroom was not clean when we arrived and we waited for two days for her to clean the room. In one room the cistern for the toiled is not functioning. In two rooms there was no hair dryer. During five days she did not change the sheets nor did she clean the bathroom sink. The shower was not clean that much and the joints on the tiles were black. The cleaning lady took the slippers we got at the beginning and did not replace them with new ones.
We liked the location and the people working at the restaurant are wonderful and amazing! The size of the rooms was good. The breakfast is good, few days we had extra meals like menemen and other kinds of eggs. The other days we had regular breakfast which is really good. On a plate you get three kinds of cheese, vegetables, olives and salami, and spreadable jams, cream, butter. The towels were changed regularly.

United KingdomThe ratings for this hotel / stars are very misleading. Very different to the pictures displayed on most web sites. The room cleanliness is appalling, the bathrooms were all mouldy and grimy (see pics), floors have gaps and are not clean, walls are patchy. The first night the bed linen was not clean. The next morning the shower did not work! When asked to be given a different room staff tried to help but the boss/manager (who doesn't know a word of English) was rude. Its mentioned that the rooms are sound proof, however street noises and the tram right outside is annoying. There is a restaurant is located on the ground floor, however food did not look very appealing - so gave breakfast at the hotel a skip, besides the people managing the restaurant downstairs seemed to be a bunch of clowns. Customer of the hotel are supposed to be given a 10% discount (displayed on the elevator) - ordered a beer and asked for the discount to be told it would be taken off and added back as a service charge. Over all despite the very good location - the hotel and room very very poor. I would avoid this hotel if I ever visit Istanbul again - would much rather pay a bit more and have a comfortable stay!
The location is brilliant - a few minutes walk from most of the main attractions, convenient to get around. Polite staff on duty.

Netherlands-I have 3x asked for the breakfast on a plate because I would left at 06:00 in the morning. 'We will arrange for you and you hear of it.' But no, no reaction, nothing. - The behavior of the person in the breakfast room was just rude in dealing with the customers. - I read in the reviews for the economy rooms that a clothes hanger behind the front door would be nice, because you can't even hang the towels anywhere. But despite management reading this, doesn't do anything about this at all. How much does a clothes hanger cost? I know there are hangers next to the window, but it would be helpful to have extra as well.
Just the location

IndiaFirstly, the rooms are stuffy and some rooms are really tiny. Bathrooms are kind of make shift rooms with glass partitions inside the room itself. It has a good restaurant and a good exterior. So don't get carried away by the images. Also, the lift is from the first floor and steep staircase before you reach the reception on the first floor. The breakfast is on a pre-served plate and below average. The person cooking and serving the breakfast is a grumpy guy with a lot of attitude and pretends as if he is doing you a big favour. The only positive about the hotel are the two staff in the reception - they go out of their way to make you comfortable. Overall - there are lots of hotels in this area. This one is a complete avoid.
You can't have a better location than this hotel. However, there are a lot of hotels at this location which are definitely better than Neda.
