I got the first room on the ground floor. The hot water heater wasn't working and the weather was quite chill in July when i visited. I had to use the kettle to heat water to be able to bath

The breakfast and dinner were superb. They had this self-cook dinner on Tuesday nights were you select your ingredients and they prep a meal for you. That stood out well for me.

The restaurant is quite pricey. It is about a 30-minute walk away from nungwi beach (and restaurants) although Tuktuks are offered for those who prefer to go.

Beautiful place with two pools and 2 restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. We really loved our room, it was fully equipped and uniquely designed. We had a great time attending the activities organised by the hotel. We absolutely love the food! Thanks alot for a wonderful stay.

Our stay in Aluna was fantastic! The staff made our stay so enjoyable, the breakfasts were delicious and it was so close to the beach. Nungwi was my favourite part of the trip down to the recommendations for places to visit from the staff and also the convenience of them arranging tuk-tuk transport to get around.

We loved our stay here, although not on the beach the gardens were beautiful and the rooms faced the small pools so it felt v peaceful and tropical. The room was modern and v comfortable. Ours had an outside shower and small patio out the back which we didn't realise but was a nice addition. Excellent hot water and WiFi. The trips we booked through the hotel were good value and the staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Walking distance to sea turtle rescue centres and a short taxi to the centre of town. The breakfast was one of the best we had, with a great choice and high standard. For the price this hotel was excellent.

Massage area really needs to have a mosquito net around it. Pleasant massage however the effects were felt for days...

Recently engaged, I asked for a little something in the room upon arrival and was very happy with what they did, and they didn't charge the world for it. Another hotel wanted $150 for a floral decoration! Had a hot tub on the balcony, which was awesome! Staff always friendly and chatty, good value for money for a bit of luxury boutique.

i think the pricing should be in shillings and more affordable. We had to go outside of aluna to get a wider range of food options, and their drinks where priced very highly.

the pool was clean and absolutely perfect, it was a small walk to the beach not to mention that the breakfast was exquisite and filling. The staff always greeted us with a smile and we felt welcomed and important. Aluna was the perfect break for us. Thank you

The location is not ideal, we were there in April and the beach club was very run down, we had to take a 30 minute taxi to a better beach. There just isn't that much to do around there.

The breakfast was excellent with a lot of amazing options, right next to the pool with fantastic atmosphere. Two different pools to enjoy and a lot of sun loungers.

getting to and from the property in the wet season was challenging at times due to size of puddles on the unmade road to the hotel

There's nothing I would change - we chose Aluna Nungwi because of its high rating on TA and It deserves to keep that rating.

We had such a lovely stay in this hotel. The staff are excellent - super helpful whenever you ask for anything - they are really welcoming when you arrive, and I should add that we arrived early and had an 'extra' morning to enjoy the pool, and then we left late, and extra time in the room (as much as they were able to give due to people arriving) and in the pool before we left. The pool is great - I say 'the pool', but in fact there are two, so while we were there, there was no pressure on pool space or on the use of sunbeds. We used the pool by our room, but both are lovely - the whole area is well spread out, with bungalows near each pool, and beautiful gardens around the pools - the plants have been really thoughtfully planted so that there is a natural look, and the gardens are mature so there is good shade if you want it! Breakfast was great - Saturdays and Wednesdays are buffet days, which we enjoyed, and the regular menu has lots of choice and is well prepared - also the fruit juice is really good. Rooms are comfortable, and everything is very clean. I would definitely definitely stay there again.

Very nice resort with swimingpool and restaurant situated at the end of the Nungwi in beautiful garden, beach bar with sunbwds available, very tasty food, breakfast are twice a week from.bufet and rest of the days from menu, we stayed in villa, the room was very clean and comfortable, we enjoyed the stay very much and we highly recommend it

The resort is situated close to the village, the chicken woke us up every morning from 4:30-6:00. Also the beach closeby the resort (1 min) is not very nice and practically you can’t swim here, because of the low tide whole day.

The rooms are situated in the garden with two pools. The whole resort feels like an oasis. Personal is very nice and helpful. Breakfasts are amazing and huuge.
