The shower/bathtub creaked every time you moved and the toilet was very loud when you flushed it. The only other negative was the neighbors, they were very loud at night and not very considerate at what time it was.

Breakfast was good with plenty of options and the staff are very friendly. I love the dining room atmosphere. The resort grounds are well maintained and easy to navigate.

I thought the dining was rather expensive. The only option available was the main ding hall buffet. All we wanted were some light meals, but the only choice was the expensive buffet dinner and breakfast. On top of that, no drinks were included. $3.00 for a cup of coffee or a glass of iced tea? That's ridiculous.

Staffing. Restaurant was open "reservation only" to risk manage the minimum staffing issue. inconvenient. Other option was to eat at the bar.

The secluded and lit self-parking lot is located behind a small patch of woods, but the path to the lodge is dimly lit. It was very uncomfortable to walk alone through the small patch of woods in the dark. They should install more lighting.

I booked way in advance, the hotel was very empty yet we were placed in room 426 with a view of parking lot and gas tank. Room is bland with very much needed upgrades. For the price it’s a disappointment to book rooms like that.

Location is great. Lobby and common areas are very well kept and very beautifully decorated for Christmas, even though lights were not on yet. The views from the golf course are beautiful.

The food was not great for what we paid. We chose to go out for all of our meals after we ate one time in the restaurant. The room was clean but not worth the money we spent. It is outdated. Pool facility needs work. Outdated. Whirlpool halfway worked. Attention to detail is lacking in this property.

Communication from the spa was confusing. They closed down for the first time ever on Easter Sunday, making it impossible for me to book the full suite of services I wanted to book for my wife and requiring them to reschedule services; they made this decision one day before my arrival. The order of my wife's services didn't make sense as they did her manicure and pedicure immediately before a full body wrap requiring a shower afterwards; fortunately, the manicure and pedicure were not ruined. It seems there were not enough bookings on Easter Sunday, so they decided to dismiss the staff to save money. They missed making up our room. We called Dan and asked for the room to be made up while we went to dinner, and they cheerfully agreed. When we came back, all they had done was leave some towels and a plastic bag full of soap and such They did not even make the bed. Lackluster effort.

Good and reasonably priced meals on site. Room was nice. Main building and grounds were very nice. Check in and check out were easy. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good climate control. A covered and comfortable place to have a cigar in the evening. Decent coffee in the room. Location felt isolated and truly like a resort getaway.

Spa was unavailable for 3 of the 4 days booked. Dining room closed at 4 pm. I ate the first night in the Sports bar which was over priced and poor quality.

Web site did not mention the reduced services during the winter months. I went expecting full spa and dining services. On my check in I was advised the spa would only be open one day of my stay. I was also told the dining room was closed. There was no place to get breakfast except for the buffet which was $18. Just coffee and a stale English muffin was $8. I checked out after 1 night.
