How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

There was no safe in the room and it was not 100% clean.
It was a really good stay during our city trip to Chicago. The location was absolutely premium, we could reach everything by foot. The cta stations were also really close for getting to and from the airport. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. You can get free purified water (no need for a bottle as they are provided).

The breakfast at the hotel's restaurant was a little bland and came relatively slowly, but the staff there was friendly nonetheless.
This hotel is in an ideal location for exploring/visiting the loop in downtown Chicago. Additionally, the staff was extremely informative, friendly, and helpful, and the rooms themselves were fantastic (we had a remarkable view we hadn't even asked for).

There was nothing I didn't like. Maybe I just wasn't aware of the breakfast they offer but, nevertheless all was good!
We really liked the location of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. I found the Amenities to be very helpful during the stay. Specially the extra blanket! Overall the stay was nice.

The hotel itself is nice. But not for the price paid: for that price, I was expecting a luxury hotel, while this one was just a very basic one. And photos on the website tend to be misleading, everything looks fancy and bigger. In reality it's not fancy, and it is a pretty small hotel.

I had a single room tucked into an alcove with another single room. early Saturday morning, the night of the time change, I lost more than one hour. A group of women in the room next door came home at 3:30 drunk, swearing, loudly shouting over each, slamming the door over and over, running in the hall and shouting at one another...it was hell! I had to call the front desk and they did come up eventually and speak to them. But after the hotel staff left, it started up again!
I had a single room. As a writer, I liked that I was able to work quietly during the day without being interrupted. The desk was perfect, the bed comfortable and the location of the hotel (where I've stayed before) is good.

We couldn’t stream from our phones to watch a movie and that was really disappointing because we really wanted to relax and watch some thing. TV quality was terrible.
Comfortable bed and view out the window was nice extra bonus to have a Nespresso machine with good coffee!

There was only one small window in my room... The hallways were a bit of a maze
good location for getting around by walking, also the subway was close by to/from the airport was 1 hour trip (one way).

We can hear people in the other room (specially the one who was playing cello).
For 75$ a night, it's very nice. The atmosphere is vintage but confortable. The lady who welcomed us was very nice!

Excellent staff, super friendly and helpful! Complimentary water on all floors, complimentary coffee on the room. Also, luggage storage on the departure day was available and very professional and safe! Location of the hotel ist also Perfect: halfway Between Union station and millennium park. Great for exploring the city!

The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had on a business trip. Really set me up for the day. The room was small but clean and the staff were great. It was a twenty minute walk to the convention centre but the area was nice and I felt safe.

Ventilation could be better, one of the windows was leaking cold air from outside and the AC was noisy. Free WiFi was a bit slow it could be better. Even though we stayed at a room with a kitchenette, there were no kitchen gear, plates, utensils etc.
The location was perfect. Facilities were okay. Staff was helpful and cheerful.
