not much can be done from the hotel point of view, but there was a lot of street noise during the night

Awesome location and close to everything. Loved the style of the hotel and the "boutiqueness".

The room smelt a bit old and damp. But clean and well appointed!

I was at the convention centre for work and the location was good for this

The Hotel was great. We stayed there the entire time once we saw the neighborhood outside. Luckily, it had everything we needed and a beautiful courtyard to relax and have our dinner and drinks in. The Gaslamp District however, is unsafe, unclean and we will NEVER return. Stay on one of the islands or in PB or even Little Italy. Gavin Newscum has ruined yet another CA city that used to be charming, fun and full of beautiful history. It is now HIGHLY OVERRUN by homeless, drugs and filth. It's not the hotels fault. The hotel is great in and of itself, if you HAVE to stay in The Gaslamp I'd recommend.

Beautiful hotel in a disgusting neighborhood.

Well appointed rooms, great location downtown. We paid for parking in a separate facility (~20 min walk) that was much cheaper.

    Nothing much to complain

Well kept decor, necessary amenities, access to balcony, for the type of hotel good pricing from booking. Probably was a good day/night to stay over as it was quiet enough at late hours

Being so close to Gaslamp it tended to be quite noisy into the early morning hours if you were on street side rooms ! That’s the price of being in the middle of party town ! Courtyard rooms were better and quieter but you still got the downtown feel.

Fantastic olde world feel in great period heritage style hotel. Just felt like going back in time with modern conveniences. Close to everything in the gas lamp district. Lots of great restaurants, Petco Field , waterfront and trolley system close. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great value Steak Frites in the Salt and Whiskey bar !

The WiFi kept going out, probably because I was on the top floor.

The building is beautiful, and it’s in a great location. The courtyard is a serene place to just unwind, read, or listen to the fountain.

Room was a little musty smelling. Water occasionally smelled. No bar fridge. Very limited breakfast menu at hotel. WIFI was bad and TV was small for me.

Great location. Staff was friendly. Decent room. Nice historical feeling to hotel. Plenty of external restaurants locally. Getting around was easy by food or transportation. I liked that you could login to your Netflix/ Prime streaming services.

Outdated, dirty carpet in the room, clogged bathtub, no complimentary personal care items (i.e. cotton swabs/etc), very thin and low quality towels.

For some reason the key card didn't always work. Sometimes I had trouble getting into the room and needed to go down to get a new card.
