The country-style Hotel Històric is in Girona’s old town, just 100 metres from Girona Cathedral. It offers soundproofed rooms with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Everything. A family place, really nice. Very old and antique! The staff is really good and responsible. So the services like breakfast! moltes gracies!

Els Jardins de la Martana can be found in the historic centre of Besalú, next to the famous Romanesque bridge. It has free Wi-Fi and mountain views. The hotel has only 11 rooms in a large historic house. It is more like what I would call an Inn because it is unique with a lot of charm. It has a wonderful original wood paneled library for guest use as well as the original living room with hand painted wall paper and coved ceiling, also for guest use. Breakfast was served on a lovely outside terrasse as well as in a breakfast room. Various coffees and a large selection of teas were available as well as juices. Lots of sliced and whole fresh fruit. Hard boiled eggs as well as cold potato omelet and bacon, and cold cuts. There was a nice variety of breads, croissants, buns, and cake and several cereals and milk. The hotels location at the end of the picturesque historic bridge which crossed over the river into the medieval town could not have been better. Our room was large, but I may have rented a larger than standard room. The bathroom was very nice. We had a small balcony with two small chairs that I enjoyed sitting on. The staff at the front desk as well as the breakfast room staff and cleaners were all very helpful and friendly. As we are seniors they helped us with our bags and went out of their way to drive us to the bus stop. The hotel also had a spa service if you wanted to indulge.

Set in the centre of Tossa de Mar, Hotel Marblau Tossa is just 250 metres from Platja Gran Beach. It offers bright, spacious rooms with flat-screen TV. The breakfast was delicious and the room was very cozy. Very friendly people! Nice location!

Everything: the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful, the room was exactly what we hoped for, food was great. The location is perfect, in a lovely, small bay, above a beautiful beach. Perfect.
