Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. The host was amazing, he offered us complimentary drinks! He suggested food places in the town as one of us was vegetarian, he helped us print out a component of our itinerary and was just an overall amazing person, the best service I've ever had anywhere in the world. On top of that we had accidentally left a smart watch at our last stop and he called the hotel on our behalf and spoke with them arranging for us to retrieve our belongings later on. We can't thank you enough for the amazing and welcoming environment.

Boasting hot spring baths in a spectacular outdoor setting by Takaragawa River, Japanese-style hotel Takaragawa Onsen Osenkaku is a 10-minute drive from Hodaigi Ski Resort. A lovely stay in a Ryokan by the river. The room was really big and the view was simply amazing and the Onsen was a great experience. During Fall the colors are just amazing! Also the shuttle pick up from Jōmō-Kōgen station is super convenient. They serve breakfast and dinner and food was really good.

From the get go, the service was absolutely amazing. The room was spacious, decent view, great air conditioning, plenty of outlets as well to charge devices, and they even brought up our luggage that we had delivered from Sapporo for us. We were able to also book a private open air onsen as well with the option of sake. It was an amazing experience. We choose to have dinner from the hotel and it was amazing to. It did not disappoint. This was my first Ryokan onsen experience and I loved it.

Just a 3-minute walk from the famous Yubatake Hot Spring, Kane Midori offers massage services and its own hot-spring baths. The Japanese rooms have futon beds and a Western bathroom. Kanemidori is a beautiful ryokan just steps away from Yubatake and central Kusatsu. The room was enormous and absolutely stunning traditional tatami room. We got to enjoy new yukata designs each day of our trip, and the quiet and beautiful baths were almost always empty when we visited them. The staff didn't speak much English, but we were able to communicate everything necessary. They even came to the car when we arrived and took our bags! It was a lovely and relaxing experience.

Built in 1913, the Kusatsu Hotel exhibits the architectural style of the Japanese Taisho Era. Beautiful room with a gorgeous view. Dinner and breakfast were absolutely exceptional and some of my favorite meals of the trip. Location was very close to the park and an easy walk through/into town. The hotel onsen was also very nice and very clean. I would absolutely stay here again in the future!

Offering free WiFi, Ryokan Tamura offers accommodation in Kusatsu, 600 metres from Kusatsu Nettaiken and 2.1 km from Kusatsu Kokusai Ski Resort. I really loved the whole experience at Ryokan Tamura. I felt very relaxed and pampered since dinner and breakfast was served, and we loved using the onsen. We asked for vegan food, and they informed us that the broth may contain dashi, but for us that was ok. The food was delicious and we got to try some of the traditional Japanese cuisine consisting of mainly vegetables. There were men only and women only onsens, and two private onsens. The water was super warm and relaxing. The staff was also very welcoming and nice and spoke english.
