You can use the onsen freely, even if you're staying in the dormitory room. The guesthouse is well equiped and the staff is always willing to help when available!

Located 1 km from Sanjusangen-do Temple and less than 1 km from TKP Garden City Kyoto in the centre of Kyoto, Kyoto Takasegawa Bettei provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Featuring a lift, this property also provides guests with Blu-ray player. The ryokan also offers facilities for disabled guests. I was the tour guide of a group of 10. I have chosen the Ryokan randomly and was the best choice I would have taken. 100% recommend it and will come back again with another group.

The Nara Visitor Center and Inn is situated in the heart of Nara, just a 3-minute walk from Kofuku-ji Temple and Naramachi. The Todai-ji Temple and Deer Park are a 10-minute stroll away, while Nara Station on the Kintetsu Line is a 7-minute walk. JR Nara Station is 14-minutes away on foot. The best place I have stayed during my trip in Japan! The staff are very kind and accommodating and the room is very clean and spacious. I wished I had spent more days in this place. They also have a public bath that I was able to use by myself. They also have a shared kitchen for guests on every floor, hence you can also cook your own food and you can borrow cooking utensils from the staff. There is also a supermarket a few minutes walk from the inn. They have a 24/7 laundromat that charges the lowest compared to all the hotels I've been to during the trip. In the lobby of the inn, they have a lot of pamphlets and recommendations of what to explore in Nara. Overlooking the window is already the five story pagoda and just a few minutes walk is already Nara park and a street for food and shopping. A very serene place especially in the morning! They also let me keep my luggage there even after I checked out as I wished to explore the place more. 100% will go back if I come to Japan again

Fitted with a relaxing ambience, all rooms come with air conditioning, a fridge and an electric kettle. The private bathroom has a hairdryer and free toiletries. We managed to book there only one night, and other nights in a place closer to the historical part. We wish we could stay at this ryokan longer. Authentic experience and everything our though-out carefully.

Opening in March 2014, Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei offers accommodations with a modern yet traditional décor. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire property and guests can refresh in the public bath. Shijo and Karasuma Station are both within a 10-minute walk away. Staff is super kind, room was quite large (I am a single traveller and got a double room). Position is good to walk to Pontocho and Gion (30 mins more or less) and there are lots of restaurants nearby. Checkout is at 12pm, very good! If I will return to Kyoto I will choose this hotel again.
