This was a unique experience. Since it is a buddhist hotel, you can enjoy a session of guided meditation right with the master from near by temple. You can also try your hand at copying the heart sutra and rewriting the characters using brush and ink.
The rooms have an option for a pleasant and calming music.
The staff were simply amazing. They were extremely friendly and kind, ready to help with whatever you needed.
Breakfast was great, tho it might not be for everyone, as it is exclusively vegetarian dishes due to the buddhist belief of not eating meat or fish. But I can only praise the breakfast and the staff preparing it, they were probably the kindest people I met so far in Japan.
Overall a great experience, I would be honored to stay at this place again some time in the future.

It was new property so quite modern. I liked the separate shower and toilet. The shower was not over a bathtub so excellent. The lounge at the lobby was a great touch with free coffee. Was a lovely place to relax. Location was excellent, close to the train station and restaurants and department stores.
Lovely apartment, wide and clean, with a cozy upper area with a kitchen a living room you can use to work or relax. Ideal for a big group or a family.
The place was perfect, we wanted the experience of a capsule hotel, but wanted to sleep in a double bed. The pocket hotel brings aspects of a capsule hotel (free to use pyjamas, slippers, toiletries etc) but also has the luxury of your own room. The shared bathrooms were lovely, with entire shower areas instead of just stalls, hairdryers, nice shampoo/body wash, q-tips and more. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. It has a main subway right outside the front entrance.
The whole house was lovely, relaxed and comfortable, with all we needed. The bathroom was an incredible relaxing space and loved the peaceful garden views
Amazing place. The workers here are so lovely and friendly and made me and my boyfriend feel super accommodated. We really looked forward to coming back to our lovely room every evening. The facilities are fantastic plus all the added touches like a hand written note on the table on our arrival. Could not recommend enough.
Great location - few minutes walk from Kyoto station. Decent sized room. Good facilities (free use of washer/dryer) Lovely helpful staff. Great breakfast selection. Free tea/coffee facilities in reception at anytime of the day. Free drink at the bar each evening. Nice relaxed/chilled environment
Staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, they spoke excellent English. Room was clean and spacious, very zen! The wood bath - WOW! Overall, a lovely place for us to relax during our honeymoon. Location wise, it was super convenient as it was basically a 1 minute walk to the train station, which took us to Nishiki Market within 10 minutes.
We booked the suite and I'm telling you it really was worth the money! :) We visited a more modest onsen earlier and this was like a luxury version of it. We were truly relaxed after our stay. I've never seen a hotel room so beautiful and never had a dinner like that before! Breakfast was luxurious too, japanese style. We reserved a private onsen on check-in and it was so lovely also.
We stayed for a few days during our honeymoon and had the most lovely experience! The staff was amazing and even left us surprises and a note in our room for our honeymoon. The stay was exactly what we were looking for - a comfortable, relaxing and authentic feeling experience. We highly recommend!
