The place is a bit far from the center (15-20 minutes walk) but for us it didn't matter The place looks gorgeous, next to the tiny river there, and really quiet Definitely recommended!!

Newly opened in August 2016, Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kyoto Ekimae offers accommodations with free WiFi. The hotel is directly connected to JR Kyoto Station and a 4-minute walk away. It’s better than a 5 star. Great bed, great amenities, great staff, always helpful. The bedrooms are new and they have everything you need and more. Good breakfast and great location. Better than inside de station because when you stay there you tend to get dinner inside the station. This one is 1 block away and full of options. Great laundry, lot of machines.

It was a really close to the metro, the service was the best we’ve ever received. It was personalized. The breakfast was also very good and different every day. The tatami mats were heated and the aircon for the room was controlled by us.
