The room is very clean and equipped with everything I need. The outdoor onsen is open air but still very private, it's totally recommended for couple. Staffs were very helpful and kind too. One more thing, don't turn away just because you see they don't serve dinner or breakfast in room. They do it with purpose that you will get the best view when you are eating. We wished we can stay longer and will come back someday.

Located in the heart of the city, Hotel Nikko Kumamoto features accommodations with free wired internet access and views of Kumamoto Castle. Amazing hotel, close to the castle. Staff were absolutely attentive. The room was huge and with castle views. Very convenient if you are taking the coach line to Yufuin or Kurokawa, as the bus station is in front of the hotel.

Staff were very good - always friendly and helpful. Breakfast and following buffet from 11am to 9pm were excellent - a good range of food and soft drinks for all tastes. It was kept well stocked and the food was tasty. The dining area was well organised, comfortable and the staff took great care of guests. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully clean.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ryokan Yamanoyu. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and were very flexible with arrivaltime. They went above and beyond to accommodate our special dietary needs, showing exceptional care and effort. Their kindness and high level of service made our stay special - thanks! The onsens were a highlight—especially the outdoor ones. The variety of both private and shared baths allowed us to enjoy peaceful, relaxing moments in beautiful surroundings. As it's a smaller ryokan, the atmosphere was intimate and personal, which made our experience more unique. We stayed for two nights, and the ryokan surprised us with two different dining experiences in two separate rooms. It was a fun and memorable touch—and the food was excellent on both nights, beautifully presented with great attention to detail. We highly recommend Ryokan Yamanoyu and would love to return one day. Kannawaen is an entirely non-smoking accommodation that features a garden, terrace and bar in Beppu. 100 metres from Hells of Beppu, the property is also 500 metres away from Jigokumushikobo Kannawa. Top notch. Half board meals incredible. In room hot spring bath was wonderful. Excellent service

Such a wonderful experience!! It was my father's first time staying at ryokan and he absolutely loved it. The property was beautiful, staff incredibly sweet and friendly, and the meals delicious. The property has indoor and outdoor private onsens. Truly a relaxing experience being in an outdoor onsen, especially in the morning. There is a free coffee machine for espressos in the lobby available at certain hours. We booked with the breakfast and kaiseki dinner included. Everything was delicious and the staff are so on top of bringing out the next course. Lovely experience tucked away in a beautiful mountain setting. Highly recommend staying here!!
