Surrounded by lush greenery, Mampei Hotel offers free WiFi and free on-site private parking. JR Karuizawa Station is a 10-minute drive from this non-smoking accommodation. We had a wonderful stay at Mampei Hotel, a beautiful hotel with a long and rich history. The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially Mr. Komiyama (if I got his name right), who went out of his way to assist us. The atmosphere was warm and peaceful, and it was special to stay at a place once frequented by John Lennon. Our room was elegant and comfortable, with a private onsen bath, and breakfast was thoughtfully prepared to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The scenic drive in and proximity to the old Ginza street added to the charm. A truly memorable and happy experience.

Offering a barbecue and ski storage space, AIBIYA is located in Yamanouchi in the Nagano Region, 4.1 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. Of all the places we stayed during out three week Japan trip, this was my favourite by far. I loved everything about it. From the fresh local produce for breakfast to the beautiful, comfy rooms. Highly recommend staying here 😁

Raicho Onsen Inn se află în Matsumoto, la 39 km de Muzeul Japonez Ukiyo-e, și pune la dispoziție o grădină, un lounge comun, pârtie de schi și parcare privată gratuită. Our stay at Raicho was just fantastic, thanks to the super friendly and professional staff members and the increadible cozy guest house (the fire place was just soo relaxing). The staff was highly attentive and booked dinner reservations, shuttled us to the dinner places or also bus stops and was always on top of what we were planning to do (e.g. when we planned to rent out mountain bikes, the staff already had prepared everything in the morning on the day we went for the ride). Many thanks to the whole Raicho team making our 3 night stay a highlight of our Japan trip!

Located in Karuizawa, Kyukaruizawa Kikyo, Curio Collection by Hilton is situated a 6-minute walk from Kyu Karuizawa Ginza Dori shopping street. The service was excellent and the staff went out of their way to assist us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Despite being an upmarket hotel, they were still very accommodating and welcoming of our toddler and there were extra amenities for her which were appreciated. The hotel is situated in the older part of Karuizawa and is within walking distance of many beautiful attractions and restaurants/cafes. The breakfast is also excellent.

ノマの森 Nomanomori B&B se găsește în Chino și oferă WiFi gratuit, o grădină, o terasă și un bar. Se oferă la locație parcare privată. The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.

Opened in August 2012, B&B Hotel Hyochoan offers simple Western-style accommodations. Free in-room WiFi is available and guests can enjoy bird watching from the property’s terrace. Very tranquil place to relax and enjoy the nature. The onsen and Harunire Terrace are not far from the B&B and easy to reach via walk or a short ride (the host could take you there in 5 minutes). The owners are kind and warm. Exceptional breakfast. Definitely will come back ^^

Oshi Ryokan se află în Nagano, la aproximativ 20 km de Templul Zenkoji și la 22 km de Gara Nagano. Nice and traditional place, the big family room was spacious and comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were fabulous. Hosts are great: really kind and nice.

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. Beautifull house, excelent owners. Classic japonese house, with own onsen (there is even a private one, where I could relax together with my husband). They provide yukatas, japonese shoes and even kimonos in your stay! I just loved everything! And they take you in the train station (when you are arriving and leaving). Just awsome stay! 100% recommend.

Located in the Shibu hot-spring district, guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths at Suminoyu. Massages can be requested and a footbath is also available for extra relaxation. The whole atmosphere was wonderful and the room was quite spacious and very cozy. Dinner and breakfast were superb, with many dishes that all were exquisite. I have never been a fan of mushrooms, but the mushrooms that were in the dinner menu, I would eat again in a heartbeat. When staying, you get the key to the 9 public baths around town, remember to get the towel for stamps!

A small 6-room inn with Ryokan meals and cosy interiors, Yasuragi is just a few minutes drive to Jigokudani Monkey Park and an 8-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station. Hot-spring baths are featured.... We really liked Yudanaka Yasuragi. The owners did everything to make us feel comfortable—they picked us up from the train station, drove us to the monkey park the next day, and were generally very kind and eager to help. The food was amazing—you really can't miss the dinner they serve there; it was one of the best we had in Japan. The onsen is fantastic, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. You should definitely visit this place!
