We have stayed at Strandpiren many times, but this was the first time the hotel restaurant was open in the evening. The food was excellent. I had the best mussels in wine I have ever had, and my husband had a great fish dish.

Set 2.2 km from Göranssons Arena, Home Hotel Smedjan in Sandviken features a pool with a temperature of around 28 degrees Celsius, fitness centre and a sauna. Free WiFi is at guests' disposal. Very helpful staff who make nice little gestures like leaving a note in our mother tongue and chocolates in the room after cleaning. The room and the hotel in general were very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfy. Food (breakfast and dinner) were decent and the hotel offers a traditional daily snack (Fika). Location within walking distance from the station in a calm neighborhood with a couple restaurants around it. The gym was a big plus and we used it twice during our stay.

Nice clean place, very service orientated staff, the 2 bathrooms were very welcome and everything from living, to bathrooms to kitchen was well equipped, nothing missing.
