There was definitely a language barrier,( if you do not speek japanese) but the staff were all patient and willing to figure out what I was trying to convey. The quietness makes you forget about the hustle and bustle of the city. Does tayami mats feel good on your feet

The whole place is spacious and tranquil with a 800 years old tree inside. There are 2 or 3 buildings connecting together by the bridge and a nice river is just right down below. There are 1 indoor onsen and 1 big outdoor onsen (with a total of 10 different “pools”) in 3 mins walk, which the outdoor onsen is so nice and beautiful, and it comes with a sauna for guests to enjoy. Nice food, nice and helpful staffs, super clean and quiet. Highly recommend and it really worth the price, it’s even out of our expectation :) Only that there is only few bus going there daily and unfortunately we missed the bus and need to wait for 3 hours for the next one … if not we can enjoy a bit more at the place.
