The accommodation facility of Gyokuzoin Temple features a hot public bath. The hotel is located in Mount Shigisan and houses a souvenir shop and drinks vending machines. Amazing experience in a beautiful temple. The location was stunning. We loved the temple, the common bathroom and the fire ceremony. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast.

Tsukihitei is located in the Kasugayama Primeval Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The resort is close to Nara Park and surrounded by forests. There were only four guest rooms. The rooms were neat and clean. We were lucky to see a few deers. We spent some time walking around the resort to enjoy the natural scenery. The half board dining sets were a great kiseiki type. Fishes were fresh and delicious. Staff are so friendly and can speak English well.
