The onsen is private and completely tattoo friendly, you simply close the door and enjoy the bath all to yourself. Thoughtful toiletries are provided both in the bathing area and in your room, along with comfortable yukatas and even traditional socks for the evening. There is so much heart in this ryokan: in every detail, in every gesture, and in every smile, even in the little dog who greets you upon arrival. From your room, you can admire a lovely view of the city, surrounded by the peaceful mountain where the ryokan rests, and even enjoy the charming cable car ride that takes you up the hillside.

Kotono yado Musashino offers accommodation in Nara, and is located a 11-minute drive from Nara Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line. Excellent service, location, food and accommodation. Simply perfect.

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk. Everything exceptional, with big care for every single guest. One of my top rated places, where i stayed. I can just say - Thank you for all!

Offering public baths, Yoshidaya Ryokan よしだや is situated in front of Sarusawa-ike Pond. Kofuku-ji Temple is just a 2-minute walk away. Free WiFi is available on site. It was incredible. We arrived early before check-in . Dropped our luggage, and the hotel is right at the entrance of the park. The staff is very polite and we had a wonderful tradiontal Japanese breakfast.

Staying at Hotobil was one of my favorite parts of our whole trip to Japan - and the food was straight up the BEST (and we ate a lot of great meals out there). The location is super easy to access, just a minute away from the main tourist-friendly loop bus through town, in a quiet residential neighborhood - as soon as we stepped through the door, we felt at home, like we were visiting family, not a hotel. Our host is the nicest, most helpful lady, and the best cook. She was also so fast responding to our questions! My dad and I are both fish-ambivalent vegetarians and we made a last-minute request for breakfast (pictured! yes all that just for breakfast!) as well as dinner just a few days before we got there and as I said, they were the two best meals we had all trip. We stayed in the Japanese style tatami room, which was beautiful and almost absurdly spacious for two, with super comfy mattresses and fluffy pillows and duvets. It was enchanting, and we wished we were staying a second night (and yes, there's more than enough to see in Nara for two days).

The accommodation facility of Gyokuzoin Temple features a hot public bath. The hotel is located in Mount Shigisan and houses a souvenir shop and drinks vending machines. A cozy stay with opportunity to experience buddhist culture. It helps that people understand the symbolism of the rituals. They speak some English and have pamphlets that explain the experiences you can purchase. We purchased the fire and chant ceremony and were blessed. It did not feel like there were many guests, so it was nice to enjoy the quiet baths and dinners. We hiked to the summit for about 20-30 min. Be sure to grab a hiking stick along the way. Very beautiful grounds and well maintained. We enjoyed the lit path at night. Yes, there are some bugs but surprisingly I didn't get many bites. Kaiseki meal was prepared beautifully with local ingredients of shiso, tofu, and pickled vegetables. They provide tea with your meal, so bring a water bottle to dinner, if you prefer.

Hotelul New Wakasa este situat la 12 minute de mers pe jos de Gara Kintetsu Nara şi oferă camere în stil japonez, cu podea cu tatami (ţesătură din paie). The property was very clean, staff were friendly and it was a unique experience. Thank you!

A 2-minute walk from Kintetsu-Nara Station, a 5-minute taxi ride from JR Nara Train Station and a 5-minute walk from Kofuku-ji Temple, Kasuga Hotel features Japanese cuisine and beautiful hot public... I would give 11 if I could. We loved the room (super spacious!), the amenities, the Japanese breakfast and dinner, the onsen, the amazing location and last but not least - they super nice staff.

Tsukihitei is located in the Kasugayama Primeval Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The food experience was very unique, the team was very helpful to accommodate my requests and did their best to make sure my stay was smooth!

From the moment you walk in the staff, decor, layout is perfect. A magical experience from start to finish. The staff were so polite and informative. The room was exceptional and a real snap shot into traditional Japanese style. The facilities like the onsen were perfect. So clean and well presented. Very quiet and peaceful with great views. The traditional breakfast was delightful and a real joy. One of the best experiences ever. Amazing.
