They picked us up at Echigo Yuzawa station when we arrived and kindly gave us lift back to the station when our trip was over. They also gave us a lift to the Ishiuchi trains station when needed. They answered all our questions and helped us booking taxis. The ryokan is very well mantained and has wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. The breakfast has plenty of good options. The ofuro and the onsen are small but comfortable. All in all a very nice ryokan.

The staff is very friendly and accommodated an early check-in (handover of the keys) without hesitation because we would be gone for the whole day to watch the fireworks in Nagaoka.

A public bath is available for guests, along with an open-air bath. The ryokan features a hot tub and a lift. This Ryokan is so beautiful and peaceful. You have to drive a bit from the city center. However, it was well worth it. When we got to our accommodation, the staff was already expecting us, she knew where we came from , and her English was really good. She sat us down for our check-in process. It felt like we paid a million dollars for this kind of customer service. She took us through our check-in process, dinner time, booked our private onsen, told us a bit about the Ryokan, booked breakfast time, and then she took us right up to our room. Our room was a riverside view, which was so amazing. Our food for dinner and breakfast was the best we had compared to other hotels around the world we've tried so far. This was all done in our own private dining room. Our private onsen also had a great view. I can not say enough good things about this place. We will come back here again when possible.
