The food was so good, lots of local specialties with amazing taste. The facilities are old, but very clean and I enjoyed the traditional Japanese room a lot. Everywhere was warm, even though I arrived perfectly with the first winter weather.

The hotel is spotlessly clean and newly refurbished (especially the rooms). The Japanese breakfast was an amazing experience. If we had to do this northwest region again we'd definitely repeat this as our base.

Each room comes with a flat-screen satellite TV, a fridge and an electric kettle with green tea bags. Japanese Yukata robes are provided for all guests. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and plentiful. The private dining rooms were wonderful. Hotel interior was beautiful. The staff offered great help with our forgotten belongings.

Very friendly staff with surprisingly good English. The room was spacious and clean, and the food was delicious. Good location close to Mount Haguro which was well worth the trip.
