A really charming property in a beautiful village, spotlessly clean and full of character. The beds were comfortable and the property was well equipped with everything we needed.
Just 150 metres from a sandy beach, this resort features sweeping Mediterranean views that can be admired from the infinity pool, fitted with hydromassage facilities.

They had a good breakfast buffet. Their pool area was nice and modern, also their lobby was quite nice. The hotel has just been renovated and most parts of the hotel were clean. There was also live events during nights such as a live performance at the pool bar.

What a gem of a place. So peaceful and relaxing. The hotel is a small, family run self catering hotel with a small restaurant for breakfast, poolside snacks or evening meal.
Plus points - Our 1bed apartment 304, was amazing, top floor, only 3 floors, double aspect out to sea and fabulous views of the sunset . Lovely balcony with comfortable chairs and a table. VERY quiet rooms did not hear a thing from other quests in 2 weeks. Both the living room/kitchen and bedroom felt very spacious with the vaulted ceilings. They both open up onto the balcony with huge patio doors, (which you could open with 1 finger). Massive (immaculately clean white sheets) comfortable bed, made every day for you. The cleaners are great too, they came every day, bedding and towels changed regularly. Pool towels provided which you picked up and dropped off poolside as little or often as you wished and not limited to 1 per person. Never a problem getting a sunbed and no one was out at sunrise to book one. Waiter service at your sunbed or table in the shade, Cyprus can be very very hot if you've not been before by the way. Snacks and drinks not over priced. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. We had a couple of things malfunction, handy man arrived within minutes and fixed it. Very friendly and apologised for the inconvenience. It's quite up and down in this area so if you are not a good walker and like to get out, maybe not the area for you. Breakfast was good, choice of hot and cold food, reasonably price too. But, the star of Vrachia is Kirsty, what an asset to the hotel she is. She was always happy to help with her friendly, warm, sincere, nothing was a problem attitude.
Minus points - I don't have any!

A lovely traditional village with good bars and restaurants, two visitor centres and lovely walks both within the village and around the countryside. A central location for Akamas peninsula, and resorts north & south as well as other local villages.
Currently there is work going on to improve the local area which can only be good for the village.

Kathikas is in the hills so slightly cooler than the heat of the coastal resorts. There are beautiful views of the surrounding countrysde. It is not a large town but has a well stocked shop, a church, a gin bar, and at least 6 very good tavernas which serve traditional Cypriot food and international food. We were there with our adult son; visitors with younger children would need to travel out of the town to provide alternative attractions to the pool at the villa.

Nice quiet village, close to both Paphos and Coral Bay (SW) and the north coast and Akamas Penninsula. Very nice refurbished town center, with a few great tavernas and an international-menu restaurant (which was also great).
Overall, if you have a rental car, it's a lot better than staying on the coast.

Brilliant village and a must visit.
Brilliant village and a must visit. Go to the coffee shop opposite the square gin bar. It is local and the service is fantastic. Imogens is the top pick of the tavernas. Kathikas is a bit cooler and not so humid. Also handy for trip to Polis. Thought Coral Bay was bait tired so try another local beech.

Beautiful Cypriot village, cobbled streets and fantastic restaurants. Cooler and quieter in the summer months than the coast. Great location from which to explore. Try these restaurants they are all good. Yiannis, Maria’s, Imogen’s, Petrodakis, and The farm yard. Also take away Pizza and Chinese available for a night in.

Although Kathikas is the most charming village, you will need a car to get around as it’s quite a distance from any main towns or beaches.
The restaurants and tavernas in the village are all lovely and the locals have to be the most friendly people we’ve ever met.
Would love to return
