Thank you to everyone at Al Moudira as we had the most wonderful time when we stayed during our honeymoon in Egypt. We had the most amazing rooms and the welcome and level of service from the whole team was exceptional. On top of the food in the two excellent restaurants we tried and the stunning gardens, pool and grounds, we really enjoyed talking to the staff who went above and beyond to make our stay a special one - in particular learning Arabic and practising English with Matta who, like everyone at Al Moudira, looked after us so well.
Our thanks to everyone at Al Moudira! Maitre de Maison, Thomas Huth, and his team make this a genuine Luxor institution that is not to be missed. We are already looking forward to our next trip!

You seem to have a lot of small denomination money, here it's all tips, if you ask a question to people on the street... TIP, if you drop a piece of paper on the ground and someone picks it up... TIP, if it comes in to the bathroom... TIP... a little annoying, they are used to asking for TIP for everything, everything is everything. The challenge is very exciting to see so much history, monuments, the trip in a static balloon is very good. Everything is excellent because of the architecture and the history, the people are respectful, the only thing that is uncomfortable is the issue of tips, if you are going to go to the market, it is best to go with the guide so that the prices are raised so exaggeratedly.

So much of what I know about ancient Egypt, the pharaohs & history is found in this awesome place. Too much to see in 3 days.
We had a private guide which helped loads including adjusting our sightseeing plans to include things we knew nothing about. Valley of nobles & workers are both worth adding in, not just the kings. The hot air balloon ride was well worth the extra as was the evening light & sound show.
Travel was easy in a private car.
We mostly ate at the hotel because the food was so good.

Luxor is an amazing location, feels almost like an Italian city, with the antiquities in the heat of the city, the wide river and river boats.
We met really nice people, but unfortunately met a few scammers too.
Shopping can be a bit of a hassle, with people pulling you in. I gave up and shopped in Cairo instead.

A beautiful city, my second trip following a trip last November to valley of the kings. I wanted to come back just to see the city and it didn’t disappoint. I just wish I had had more time than 2days, 1 night… I will be back to lovely Luxor. A surprise around every corner…

The hot air balloon was really the highlight of our tour in Luxor. No one should miss it along with the visits to the Valley of the Kings, Queens and Hatshetsup Palace. Downtown Luxor was also a must-see specially the old market place and the Luxor Temple and don't forget about the local food.

Luxor's archaeological sites are the most impressive I've ever seen. They are spectacular.
I went in April, in spring, and the temperature reached 38 degrees Celcius. The locals told me that in summer the temperature will be around 50 degrees.
The population appears to be very poor and the city is poorly maintained.
Whenever possible, supplement payments with tips. This is expected by the people providing the services.
One of the best value for money hotels I've ever stayed in. Egypt isn't a careless destination in terms of accessibility, cleanliness and comfort, but in the New Memnon hotel we were in the most friendly atmosphere, experiencing all the best features of the country and protected from it's less pleasant characteristics. Virtually everything was enjoyable - the rooms, the views, the food, the garden, the location, the stuff. Special thanks the hotel owner, Mr. Said, who made our stay there just magical.
Everything was good. The place was very nice clean and spacious. It's about 15 minutes outside the city, but the compound is situated right beside a nice market ( AL Rayah Market) and it has everything you would need to fix up a quick meal if need be.
Our host was able to set us up on a hot air balloon ride and it was one of the most amazing experiences for our family here in Egypt. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
We would encourage anyone to book the Sphinx Apartment for a nice little get away while in Luxor.
I am very satisfied with this hotel. It is clean, quite, with sufficient room, a balcony having Nile river and garden view. The food is good. The staff in rception and restaurant are very friendly and professional.
Especially I would like to mention Mahmaud and Mariam at reception area helped me to contact the hotel in Cario to have them pick me up from Cario International airport at later night, because my mobile phone did not work in Egypt and I am not familiar with Whatsup. Great thanks!
The room was huge, the kitchen had everything you will need a washing machine too. The property is right on the nile so you can take the public ferry for 5 pounds across the nile. Yassar hosted me and he was wonderful, he invited me to his home and showed real Egyptian hospitality by cooking for me free of charge and handing me drinks. If you have extra time go on a tour with yassar outside of the main sites to the desert its a unique exprience that 99% of tourists who visit Luxor will not see
I wish i could give them 10 stars. Ahmed and his boys are friendliest people i met in egypt. They treat you like a family like you really feel it at home. Such a budget friendly Floating boat Hotel neat and clean air conditioned rooms, their service everything was 👌. Excellent job they are doing. I would definitely reccomend it to all the tourists visiting Luxor. It was such a unique experience and beyound my expections. There is nothing to complaint. Excellent, Bestest of Bestest in Luxor.
The hosts are amazing and very very nice! They truly care that their guests have a great experience in the way YOU want. Best of all, they honestly provide you with all the information needed to explore Luxor without being pushy to take their services unlike oftentimes in Egypt. They helped to save us a great deal by pointing out local shops and transportation. The Egyptian breakfast was also great and the restaurant has a great view on the West Bank monuments! Thank you for having us!
We loved Luxor and we loved the Nefertiti hotel! The breakfast on the roof each morning was the perfect place to greet the day and watch the hot air balloons rise on the west side of the Nile. The location is perfect, directly across the street from the Luxor Temple. And the restaurant serves the most amazing Oum Ali we had in our entire time in Cairo. Also, the Magic Carpet Travel service is right in the lobby. They set us up with amazing tours throughout our entire time in Egypt.
I LOVED EVERYTHING!!! It was an amazing place in the middle of Luxor, like a little oasis in the middle of the hustle and craziness of the city.
The gardens, the people, the food, the swimming pool, everything, and everybody was excellent. You can't go wrong booking here, best place I've been in all of Egypt.
Thank you Mohamed for giving us fresh flowers every morning for breakfast!
Also thank you for the nice people at the pool, we loved meeting all of you!
- staff was wonderful and accommodating. We felt very welcome and taken care of
- Location is very quiet and beautiful right on the Nile
- The Egyptian food served in the main restaurant is very good. Falafel, baba ghanoush, tahini, ancient Egyptian flat bread (Aish Baladi), soft cheese and ful medames were delicious!
- It’s easy to take a taxi into the city. Drivers are always waiting and it’s 70 EGP. Alternatively, the hotel has a shuttle that goes at 5pm.
The view from my room was magnificent. I liked it. The hotel room was great. It was comfortable to stay for 2 nights. The staff was very kind and hospitable as well. I really liked the hot air balloon and the valley of the kings tours provided by the Nasco Tours within the hotel. A big kudos to our tour guide Rami! I learned a great deal about the Egyptian history. Last but not least, the boat ride led by Arafat in the afternoon was amazing. We really enjoyed it.
If you get the chance to stay at this place in Luxor, do so! We stayed there for 4 nights and had our best stay in whole Egypt. Mohammed and Kaream are so friendly and welcoming and help you with everything you need. Also, we used the pool everyday, as it was so refreshing after sightseeing. Food is amazing. We booked the ballon tour with the hotel and everything went as planned. As it is one of the budget-friendly places in Luxor, value for money is unbeatable.
Staying at Abeer Guesthouse proved to be a great decision. I can't fault the place in any way. Austin and Abeer were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and an authentic Egyptian meal. The room we stayed in was spacious and well-appointed. It's an easy walk to Luxor temple and The Corniche where you can hire fellucas. Austin helped arrange an airport transfer and gave great tips for navigating the sights of Luxor.
Best hotel in all of Egypt. Bed was comfy, no traffic noise, breakfast was the best we have had, restaurant was best by Luxor's hotels standards, staff were extraordinarily helpful - they have very good prices for every thing, in the middle area near to the airport and train station, luxor temple and karnak and ferry boat, also local transportation
Thank you for fresh welcome drink and fruit basket
I loved the location and convenience of the hotel to all the attractions on the West Bank. The facilities were extremely clean and staff accommodating. The breakfast was very good and included a basket of pita, Egyptian cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, omelette, falafel, and coffee (instant). I felt safe walking around on my own and I would absolutely stay here again.
I liked pretty much everything about the hotel.
The location on the West Bank of the Nile is quiet and offers a look at ordinary Egyptian life.
The owner Foud is a great guy and was very helpful. The staff are really nice as well.
If you are traveling in summer the rooftop pool really comes in handy. The price is really good and the hotel has a lot of character.
The hotel was great and the staff were very kind and helpful. We felt at home, yet also as if we were in an exotic ancient paradise. You feel like you're really in Egypt here. The breakfast was delicious and the outside cafeteria area is heavenly. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Luxor and West Thebes.
Perfect hotel for a stay in Luxor! The staff is lovely. The rooms are very good . The roof top with swimming pool is sublime with its view of the temple. The hotel is ideally located in relation to the attractions of the city. Finally breakfast is really a plus, it changes what many hotels of this range in Egypt offer.
By far the best hotel we stayed in our whole trip in Egypt! Very comfortable and clean rooms with a beautiful Nile view, great friendly service (a special mention goes to Ali the bellboy with a good perfume), huge quality breakfast... Really worth the price, if compared to the other options available in Luxor.
It’s the best accommodation you can have in Luxor, super clean everything is very well taken care of, all equipments are there. Location is good and safe, we liked how calm it is. The host and the housekeeper are one of the best people you can cross in Egypt. Very helpful.
