Very chilled and relaxed atmosphere. Great for a quiet get away as there are no children in the hotel. Room was well decorated and comfortable. Pool was heated with a lovely view of the sea and perfect for watching sunsets. Great location for walking down to the beach and the town center was also within walking distance. We did get the free bus provided a few times which was great but bus times didn't always work for us. Food was pretty good. Perfect for a couple, solo traveller or anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in the sun.

Beautiful Canarian style buildings in the 'old' town and lovely plazas. Plenty of good restaurants (we loved Arcon Tapas, Bambi Gourmet, La Taperia, Restaurant Herreria to name but a few). Easy access to other areas by buses. Good walking routes close by. Fantastic rugged coastline with crashing waves. Weekends can be a bit busy, even in winter (February/March). Loro Parque is a must.

Its peaceful and tranquillity although we did travel in February. Weather was hot with lovely breeze. Found a lovely little spanish burger bar Tui Burgers, very reasonably priced, friendly staff and lovely food. We hired a car as it was around an hours drive from villa to Siam Water Park and Mount Teide and 15mins drive to Lorro Parque. Both the Park & Lorro were busy even in February - would imagine they get overcrowded in summer months. Great place and would definitely go back.

This is not a bump bump music town it is for couples and families. There is a good contrast between old town and new. There is a mild surfer's beach at one end and a black sand beach at the other with the old town and harbour in-between. There is a good mix of shops and restaurants. It is flat walk right along the the water front. There are several parks to sit and relax in.
La Fragata at the old harbour is a great pub that also does coffee.

There are beautiful views, with beautiful black sand beaches and banana trees. The ocean from the north side of Tenerife is way too aggressive 🥲 with great waves and no possibility to swim.
The only tourist attraction is Loro park. Siam park and whale watching is on another side of the island. Though the prices for accommodation are pretty acceptable here.

I first visited P de la Cruz in 2005.
I first visited P de la Cruz in 2005. The town has become much more prosperous & international in the intervening two decades with many well known retail brands now well established here.
End of January/early February must be popular because we found the town crowded at every hour of the day or night. However, it is spotlessly clean and the new floral Avenue from the shopping centre to the Harbour/seaside is a welcome addition. I also appreciated the attractive new statue of the fisher girl selling her wares with a basket of octopus balanced on her head. (see photos).
Staff in cafes are polite and friendly. Prices are reasonable.
Food appears to be only average but we ate well at the Semiramis hotel.
The weather is idyllic; never too hot and often a fresh breeze blowing. Small wonder Tenerife is known as the Island of Eternal Spring.
Puerto, on NW coast of the island, receives a little more rain than other parts but has been suffering from a lack of precipitation in recent years. However, the abundance of colourful vegetation hasn't suffered unduly & the Botanic Gardens in La Paz are a shaded paradise of exotic greenery. Very restful & well worth visiting. (see photo of the Lily Pond there).
Finally.. did you know Agatha Christie was a resident here in 1927? (See photo : a selection of her book titles on a flight of steps in the old town). Every 2nd year there's a festival of plays and films in her honour...the centenary year is now only 3 years distant!

The staff was really friendly and helped us out with a map of things to see. The rooms were clean however the bathrooms seemed a little bit old. If you are looking for a modern and fancy apartement Pez azul is probably not the right choice. For us who were just looking for a cheap accomodation in Puerto de la Cruz we did not regret our stay. The kitchen comes with everything you need. The only thing that was missing was a little bit of soap to wash your dishes.
This place ended up being a great choice for a week on Tenerife even though the communication with administration didn't work out. Spacious apartment with all the possible kitchen facilities (most of the time we cooked and ate there). Amazing view on the sunrise and ocean! Convenient with stores around and bus stops to explore the island.
Something to think about: the gardener mentioned in the guest note never showed up and stayed a mysterious person to us
The staff at El Tope is warm, welcoming, helpful and overall nice. The breakfast was also quite neat, including all the standard stuff + some local Tenerife products. Many touristic landmarks are at walking distance, and there's parking spots right by the hotel in case you are driving. Plenty of things to do at the hotel itself too if that's what you're aiming for. Price/quality ratio is quite good overall.
The location is very good, both in Puerto de la Cruz and on the island. As Tenerife has plenty of problems with residual waters that are washed directly into the sea, the northern part has clean beaches, so this is a plus.
The hotel is close to many restaurants, sisha bars, supermarkets.
Comfy beds, you can ask for a softer pillow, good housekeeping.
The hotel is very clean and has all the facilities. The apartments are well equipped. The breakfast is rich. The staff is very kind. If we return to Tenerife, we will definitely stay at Masaru. The temperatures at the end of August do not require air conditioning. The area in which the hotel is located is very clean and rich in luxuriant vegetation.
Nice hotel, not too big which added to the friendly vibe of the place. Room was spacious with a balcony. I could debate the colors and esthetics but what's important is that the room was clean, bed bug free and cleaned daily.
staff was welcoming and helpful!
We rather enjoyed the walk uphill to the hotel, although it might be tough for some.
The location (Punta Brava) is great if you want to catch the local vibe instead of more touristy center of Puerto De La Cruz.
Also the hostel was very quiet at nights and no parties (silence started at 23:00).
Good privacy with large drapes on the beds. Definitely a great experience and exactly what I as a 35 yo solo traveller like to have.
As we know as Tenerife is not a Turkey with hind end new hotels, but this one is very good value for money. Good variety of food, a lot of things to do with kids, very big rooms (around 50m2, for the same price in other place you gonna get like 25m2 only), heated pool, good wifi, staff is perfect.
Very friendly and welcoming staff, no matter where, at the reception, restaurant, pool or the dearest cleaning staff. Thanks to them all! I appreciate their work and I hope they are being paid good. I would give the staffs 5 stars and not the owner and the mangers' team of the hotel!
Many parking spaces around the property. The property is well-functioned that contains everything you need. The hostess is friendly. It can be served as a base for visiting the northern part of Tenerife. There are many restaurants around the property, including a Chinese restaurant.
Great spacious and comfortable "premium" rooms, extra attention to "premium" visitors. Better breakfast for "premium" suite visitors. Large double bed. Free tennis courts. Plenty of parking space. Well kept surroundings of the hotel. Great value!
This was my second time I have stayed in Hotel Marte this year. It is an excellent choice, very close to the centre of Puerto de la Cruz, as well as to the Bus Station, with very good breakfast, amazing and friendly staff and magic atmosphere :-}
-good location in the centre: close to the ocean, restaurants, also good starting point for hikes in northern and central Tenerife (most beautiful regions): Teide, canadas, corona forestal, Anaga, Teno mountains
-reasonable price
The place is sharply clean, the solarium with the Jacuzzi is perfect to relax. The staff was helpful and showed us where to rent a car and gave us info about Tenerife and Puerto de La Cruz. Bathroom clean and large shower.
Very nice and good equipped apartment. The location was perfect to go to Playa Jardin or visit Puerto de la Cruz. The host was very helpful with a lot of tips for the area and Tenerife.
