SABAI Beach features 200 metres of private white sand beach and free WiFi access in public areas. It is located in Barú Peninsula (an island), 20 minutes’ drive from Barbacoas Bay.

This is such a wonderful hotel with amazing welcoming and helpful staff and wonderful food. It is such a stunning part of the world and Sabai absolutely showcases the splendors of the beach and jungle. Everything we needed we got, including a trip to the National Aviary which was magnificent. Everyone at Sabai was fantastic, helpful, bright and warm, and the property was just beautiful. posada donde Uriel Playa tranquila, hotel in Baru

Posada donde Uriel Playa tranquila is located in Baru, a few steps from Playa Blanca. The hotel has a terrace and sea views, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar.

Location directly on the beach and all rooms with amazing sea view. The sea had perfect azure color. Breakfast was good and served on time. You can get to the accomodation only by boat from the parking place - from the parking place you have to walk approx. 5 mins to the beach where boat pick you up to the accomodation. The way to accomodation was free of charge and the way back to the parking place was charged (around 2,50 eur per person). The rooms were with privat sitting area ( terrace). Prices in the restaurant and bar were good but everything took them a long time.

    Wow this location is AMAZING.

Wow this location is AMAZING. Truly it was a private beach all to ourselves… only one other couple there on our first night. The property only has 4 rooms total so you’re never going to have a bunch of people there. The staff were SO accommodating and patient with our lack of ability to speak Spanish. We only speak English, staff only spoke English but they always used translation making it very easy to communicate! I saw other reviews complaining about the food being overpriced and no hot water for the shower which seems silly to me after now experiencing how remote this place is! It was my toddlers first travel experience, and I was SO happy with the comfort Carey House offered. Is it a luxury hotel, no. But does it have everything you need on a remote beach location with PERFECT Carribean swimming and the best staff ever? Yes. We will be coming back!

The only way to get from the arrival area to your hotel is to walk along the beach with your luggage or by boat. When the seas are ruff and there are no boats you must carry your luggage through the sand and water. Depending where your hotel is, that could be a mile. There is one tiny bodega on the beach to buy soda and beer and not much else. It’s best for a short stay.

Horrible place, instead of the sea breeze you'll enjoy exhaust from the dozens of motorboats and scooters cruising everywhere without any rules. They make a horrible noise all over the day, combined with loud music from each bar it caused a headache. Food and drinks are extremely expensive, we got poisoned by some food there being sick for 3 days. Trash is everywhere behind the beach line.

Before 11 am and after 5 pm, it is beautiful.

Before 11 am and after 5 pm, it is beautiful. Between those hours, however, there are an overwhelming number of visitors and vendors. The water is full of so many people offering rides on jetskis, banana boats, tour boats, etc, that rather than smell the ocean air you smell gas. If you want peace and quiet you need to trek about 2 kms to the peaceful section of Playa Blanca.

Baru was a big surprise for us in all the right ways.

Baru was a big surprise for us in all the right ways. Family of 3 with a 10 year old, stayed 6 days, 2 different hotels. Beautiful white sandy beaches, turquoise colored waters and fresh sea food ( learn your prices and always check before accepting anything). The family time spent there is unforgettable. The people are kind and respectful. The island is safe and after 4pm starts to calm down and at 7-8 pm it's quiet and peaceful. Most people spent a day and leave, but i recommend you stay and do the activities. We did snorkeling and raccon as well as the Plancton (DO NOT MISS IT! ). Hotels Soy Local Baru if you want the authentic and exclusive experience 5⭐️ Nena beach resort AC, pool and beach beds.

this is a lovely quiet out-of-the-way stare with fabulous staff who are very attentive. The owner is amazing and takes care of you as if she was your family member. She made sure we had safe taxi drivers and that we were picked up on time or delivered to wherever we needed to go. This is not a five-star hotel it is a very comfortable, friendly atmosphere that was soothing for the soul. Olga and her family care very much about their community and make this An amazing place to visit.

Staff was very, very kind. There were moments that we would have hoped for them to come around more often to see to our needs. Seafood was over cooked 2 nights in a row. Which I think they should have to ta T because it is a beachfront property. Cholon is just on the other island in front and the noice that the boats produce was a bit distracting , but it is not the properties fault in any way. but other than that must say that it was a very good stay.

This is one of the best properties on the island, because you're literally a step away from the water. The waters are crystal blue, and the views a once in a lifetime experience. You also get to know the other guests in the house because everyone is sharing the same common space. Keep in mind every property on the island is very rustic, and you probably won't have much internet access - but this was a welcome break for me.

The property itself is very nice. The rooms felt really modern, lovely bathrooms and good amenities. The beach and bar were great and the staff very accommodating and the food at the hotel was delicious with loads of options to choose from. We did a couple of activities through the hotel and all were great (especially the snorkelling one!). To top it off we had one of the best massages by the beach - highly recommend!

Our stay at Baru Playa Resort is like living on Fantasy Island - beautiful, remote, tranquil, & peaceful. The staff is exceptional, professional and friendly. Captain Edgar is a great boat captain and very friendly. Jorge, the owner, is passionate about quality service and maintaining the rustic island vibe of his beachfront resort. I am so impressed with Jorge and the resort, that I would consider investing in it!

We booked this place the day of-it was hard to find a good deal, and this seemed like it would be good for the price. The best thing about the place were the staff-they were kind and attentive. Also, purchasing the inclusive meals was a good deal, since food in the area can be upcharged. The staff also gave us the hook-up to some local private island viewings that were a good deal.

This hotel is by far one of the best on the seafront in Barú. We walked the whole beach, saw all the accommodation and tried different bars and restaurants. We always kept going back to Playa Surf for the great drinks, food and service. The rooms are super comfortable and clean and the staff are helpful and friendly which adds the cherry to the top of an already good cake.

Jeiner - who manages hotel helpful and friendly Great location - beautiful view from the balcony, nicely covered in shade Due to low amount of rooms, more private, not a mass hotel. You need to set expectations right, this is a basic ‘hotel’, don’t expect fancy stuff. Breakfast was good. All in all, quite satisfied.

I was looking for a property that was off the beaten tracks on Isla Baru and Casa Cordaba Baru is exactly this. The forthcoming and friendly staff combined with a very relaxed and quiet athmosphere in an very well maintained property is a perfect hideaway for those that dont need or want to escape the buzz.
