Beautiful venue overseeing the see and very close to the center of the town. a good balance between the comfort of a grand hotel and the cosiness of a medium size hotel. Staff really incredibly kind and willing to make you enjoy the place. We loved it !

Location & the staff were amazing! A lot of parking spots. Pool is nice, sauna is separated for men and women, but its nice in a cold day. Toiletries, towels, coffee and all is provided. Food at breakfast was super nice and fresh.

My husband and I visit Carmel twice a year and it never gets old. I love the shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Porta Bella is one of our favorite restaurants but you can't go wrong with any restaurant in Carmel. Visiting the beach for the day is a must! Also, Pebble Beach is a five minute drive and worth the beautiful sights!

For rich boomers. Everything expensive. Nice art galleries.
For rich boomers. Everything expensive. Nice art galleries. We tried Flying Fish restaurant, which was an odd mix of traditions, everything sweetened. They complained that my tip was not big enough as I left. A first. Turns out their method of calculating was unusual.I had thought a tip was included. $14.50 was added for something and I thought it was the tip. Turns out it was a charge for using a credit card. New to me. You can walk everywhere and parking is a challenge. Not a lot of kids. Not much for them except the beach. Beach walks long and pleasant. Town walks for shopper ladies.

Picturesque part of California with a pedestrian-friendly downtown. The experience can be what you want - there is simple, as well as fine dining, and high-end stores to basic souvenirs. The beach and the famous 17-mile-drive are within easy reach. Great for a relaxing getaway.

Carmel is typically much colder than you'd think for CA as it is near the ocean and the breezes and fog always keep it cool. We lucked out with afternoon sun after the fog burned off. Bring lots of layers (no shorts) and enjoy.

I appreciate how Carmel has kept out the corporate chain stores. Its so nice to go to a town that is quaint with mom and pop shops, art studios, family owned restaurants. We really enjoyed visiting Carmel and would love to visit again when we have more time to properly explore.
We had an ocean view king room with fireplace - the view was spectacular and the best part of the room! The hotel is a refurbished older property. The updated rooms are nice and comfortable but nothing special. The bathroom was small but functional. The location is great and walkable to downtown Carmel restaurants and the beach. Be aware that the hotel is up a hill if you are in an ocean view room and may be a difficult walk for people with mobility issues and you will need to drive. The staff is great, very friendly and accommodating.
It was a clean, new and super cozy little Hotel. The room was clean and had everything that was needed. Breakfast was okay but Carmel has a bunch of cute places to get a proper one, especially for those who are vegan. The location was close to the city center and just a 15min walk away from the beach. I would always come back!
The hotel was conveniently located on a main street of Carmel, and also exit out of town by car was pretty quick. A parking place was included with the room we ordered, which was important, as parking in the street was limited for two hours.
