Comfortable with absolutely everything we needed. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were very comfortable and cosy. Loved having the fire roaring which kept the whole house nice and toasty. Despite the icy cold weather, Bronwen warmly greeted us when we arrived late in the afternoon. She led us through the lovely well kept gardens and let us intro the cosy retreat. The little roaring log burner was perfect to relax beside and hide away from the bitter wintry conditions. The happy fat rooster woke us up to a stunning sunrise over the mountains below and we mooched around the woodland greeting the animals -Flora the pig and Bowie the giant fluffy dog were a special treat! The sweet mini ponies in the paddock at the entrance were keen to be let loose to roam ☺️Freshly laid eggs, freshly baked sourdough loaf and locally sourced apple juice made for a welcome breakfast. The sauna in the woods was fun and a perfect way to unwind. The bed was large and luxurious with fabulous bedding, decorated with local sprigs of greenery and towels for the sauna! We slept like logs and felt replenished after just a short stay.
