Hotel very close to the center (2 minutes walk).
Friendliness at reception.
Small but modern and comfortable room.
This was one of the rare hotels I've been in Iceland where the curtains allowed total black out, which is extremely relevant in the Icelandic summer.
Good parking space.
Very good varied and complete breakfast, however the restaurant is small so some of the customers had breakfast in the reception hall.
Located in North Iceland’s main town, Akureyri, this budget summer hotel is a short walk from the city centre and the Eyjafjördur Fjord shore. Free parking is offered on site.

Hotel Edda is situated next to a great swimming pool. The breakfast is excellent and our room was very clean and spacious. The hotel is also near beautiful hiking trails. We enjoyed our stay there.

Congratulations for the cleaning of your rooms. The team you have is definitely doing their job .
I was surprised to find everything spotless
Also the reception staff was more than helpful
Nice place to stay while visiting sites in North Iceland.
Nice place to stay while visiting sites in North Iceland. We were able to see the Northern lights while there in early October, but our lodging was slightly out of the main city lights. Nice restaurants and easy to walk around. Botanical garden was a very nice place.

Great place for a day trip, or two.
Great place for a day trip, or two. Limited eating options (compared to Reykjavik). The lagoons (Forest lagoon / Myvatn) are worth a visit. There are of course also some nearby waterfalls. There's a fantastic petting zoo which is definitely not to be missed.

Nice small city . Surprisingly bug infested in late summer.
Nice small city . Surprisingly bug infested in late summer. Wonderful sights nearby. Very few free parking lots . Dettifoss was awe inspiring. There are steam venting sites worth visiting. There are crevasses separating American and European plates you can walk across caves and crevasses where Game of Thrones was filmed . Restaurant 23 is a great fish restaurant

Akureyri is a beautiful little town in N. Iceland.
Akureyri is a beautiful little town in N. Iceland. Super picturesque, at the base of a fjord. We booked a whale watching tour with Keli Sea Tours and saw humpback whales.
Everything is walkable and there are some great restaurants, especially Strikið, where I had the best piece of salmon I have ever eaten.
The botanical garden is free and beautiful. The kids loved the little Christmas house on the edge of town.
If you are driving the ring road, you must stop here!

We was looking for local food but no one. we could find only pizza, burger, fried chicken restaurant. And we was found food truck which owner is very rude, we not recommend there but anyway bakery at the corner was very good.
We had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Lamb Inn as part of our trip to Iceland driving the ringroad. The location is great only a 10 minute drive from Akureyri but out in the countryside and a great place to relax. We really enjoyed the Icelandic breakfast with plenty of options, and the lamb for dinner was excellent, well worth having. Lovely to have the option of a dip in the hot tub and we quite liked just relaxing in the lobby with a book and a coffee. Highly recommended
The best thing was that when I asked them to make me glutenfree portions they did and they were good! Also the young man in the reception was always nice and helpfull. The room with own bathroom was nice, the room without it wasn´t that nice but ok. The breakfast was ok considering how small guesthouse this was. The views near hotel and from the windows was perfect!
We did not ask to be upgraded, and I had booked the less expensive room facing the mountain, we were given a room facing the ocean. Our room was beautiful and the decor was very nice in the entire hotel. It was in walking distance from shops and restaurants in Akureyri. The staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions.
As the name suggests, it’s very central, a few minutes’ walk from everywhere. Comfortable room, with fridge and a nearby communal kitchen if you want to make drinks and snacks. Great bar and restaurant on ground floor, tasty breakfast. Lovely staff. An excellent good value choice.
The self check-in was nice so we could arrive at any time. The use of the kitchenette in the morning was ideal to make some breakfast for our family. It was about a 10 minute walk to downtown. The town was lovely to walk around and had some nice stores and restaurants.
You need the car to get there. Once your up in this hotel with a remote feel, you get nice views, a pleasant hot pot outdoor area and spacious rooms. Breakfast was nice, but nothing unusual. Akureyri is a 10 minute drive away. There is a bar open in the evening.
Beautiful hotel. Easy check in. Great location & easy parking. Wish we could’ve tried the restaurant & breakfast out but it was bank holiday. Not clear if the fridge drinks were included or not?
Need to fix the fan & mood lighting as it was flickering.
Simple room but a bit small. No lift at the building. Bed ok and location near the center. Within walking distance for restaurants. No breakfast provided. Helpful staff when check in. Overall ok for good nite sleep. Parking outside the building
The hotel is placed on the hill viewing directly to the Fjord of Akureyri.
The rooms has very big windows and you can view the planes landing and leaving on the airport.
The breakfast was very good and a lot of parking spaces
We loved our stay at Kea Hotel! It is in the perfect location in the middle of downtown. There was free parking close by. We utilized their laundry service which was free and timely! The staff was very helpful and friendly!
Spacious apartment, located in the center of Akureyri, close to restaurants for dinner and breakfast. Parking on the street free between 4pm-10am; so rather convenient for 1-night stay. Everything is perfect!
Good place in the center of the city. All shops and restaurants - 5 minutes by walking. Rooms were clean, and it was very warm what is important in December. Breakfast is included but it is very basic.
Location was good, straight down town next to few restaurants and shops, the restaurant was good and breakfast as well but over all it was okey, good enough for a sleep or 2, not for a long stay
the view from the hotel is amazing, having breakfast included was great, the staff very friendly, room was comfortable and clean with amenities like slippers and bathrobe, free wifi and parking.
The beds were very comfortable!
The kitchen is great. We were able to use washer and dryer for free on our floor.
The hotel is in a great are of the city near shops and restaurants.
Fabulous location a short block off the main shopping/restaurant street of Akureyri. Excellent modern apartment with all necessary facilities. Convenient free parking on site.
