We stayed 3 nights, then went to Sitges for a 5 night beach break. Instead we returned to BCN after only 3 nights in Sitges. We had another 2 nights in BCN and loved it. It is such a great city. There's amazing tours....we took one to Montjuic, Parc Guell and Sagrada Familia. We also took a foodie tour, which I highly recommend (ours was mostly tapas and wine). It started at the Travellers Nest Bar.
Gaudi left his mark all over the city. He's part of what makes it a special place. The arcitecture is just amazing. You must visit Sagrada Familia church. It's been being built for about 140 years and will be finished in 2026. Several architects put their stamp on it but it has so much of Christ's life depicted on the outside and 40 years of Gaudi's work in it. Just amazing.
The Gothic Quarter is my favorite, from the many restaurants, to the quaint small streets, to the pedestrian streets, to the Roual Square and so much more. It also runs from La Ramblas (the most famous pedestrian walkway/restaurant/shoppers "path") to the Arch of Triumph.
You can even go ballooning outside the city. I did it and enjoyed the relaxing 45 minutes in the air, but at $200 it's a little pricey for the scenery you get. It's only supposed to be about 30 minutes. Go for the adventure. We landed in some farmer's yard. He wasn't happy but we had a great ride and a seasoned driver.
If you are a beach person, we heard the BCN beaches are poluted, but from Sants station or Franc, etc., you can take a 40 minute ride to Sitges and enjoy wonderful beaches and a lively atmosphere in this LGBTQ friendly, lively small city.

Barcelona is a wonderful city for tourists filled with multiple historic attractions, museums, historical neighborhoods, food markets and cultural and entertainment venues. Very cosmopolitan and international city! Many English speakers and friendly people...no problems if you are not proficient in Spanish or Catalan. Our favorite spots were the Gothic Quarter and Eixanple neighborhoods, along with La Pedrera (Gaudi), Parc Guell, La Sagrada Familia, the Barcelona Cathedral and its adjacent outdoor market selling various antique and vintage items (remember to bargain!), La Boqueria Market, the National Art Museum of Catalonia, and the Joan Miro Museum. Don't miss the flamenco show at Palau de la Musica. Getting around Barcelona is easy...great subway system, easy to access Bolt car service and taxis, and walking. Many great walking tours that you can book beforehand via GetYourGuide. Many good restaurants serving all types of food. Many cafes for a quick breakfast on the way to attractions. Highly recommend El Bitxo tapas restaurant, right next to the Palau de la Musica, for great tasting, unique tapas in a small, friendly venue. Easy train access to travel to Valencia and Madrid via main train station. Barcelona is a city that you will want to return to!

Unfortunately, we were the victim of a pick-pocket within an hour of arrival, so our opinion of Barcelona is a bit jaded. We made use of the City Pass to access most of the main attractions, so from that point of view, we were happy.

Amazing and beautiful city with everything you need at your doorstep. Very well-connected with public transport and other variety of packages and options at very reasonable prices. I recommend getting the multiple day passes for use on the Metro, trains and bus services. You could go anywhere in Barcelona on a single pass. They have night buses as well, so you’ll never be stranded in the city. It has a city vibe, but feels more like small suburban towns in some areas and the pedestrian areas are beautiful.
Of course the beaches are amazing and the weather is amazing in the summer although can be very very hot on the metro lines. Definitely will be coming back again and again.
Of course the food is amazing but avoid the restaurants that are touristy as the food quality is sub par and expensive (relatively). Opt for the smaller venues and restaurants and family run businesses if you want extra tasty food and tapas.
Keep your wits about you for people on bikes (phone theirs) and watch stealers. Especially in las ramblas tourist spots. Didn’t anything of the sort myself but like in any city be aware. I felt totally safe at ALL hours of the morning, day and night. I wasn’t constantly looking behind me at all! A real feel good city.

Gaudi makes Barcelona one of the most worthy cities in the whole world. At least in my opinion. Anything designed by him is simply breathtaking. La Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlo, Pedrera, etc. will make a lifelong impact on you, 100% guaranteed (by me). The amount of tourists makes the city feel very chaotic but GAUDI man... makes all of it worth it.

Barcelona is an easy city to get around; the Metro is very efficient, clean and staff are helpful. There are numerous architectural sights to see and/or enjoy on a guided walk. It is a pretty city to walk in whether to the Boqueria market or down by the port and beaches. The Hop on Hop off bus is an excellent way to get started in Barcelona.
Modern, clean and well located hotel. Located slightly away from city center but has very good metro connection to all main sights. Also, has some nice restaurants around in the are and the beach is 10mins away. Hotel has a beautiful terrace with a pool with a view to the sea. Breakfast were good, quite nice options. Rooms comfortable with a nice view to Barcelona panorama. Even though some things were lacking in the rooms, our stay was very nice and we left happy . I would recommend the place.
Every staff was so kind and helpful. The view from roof top pool is one of the best things I’ve ever seen it’s like you’re floating on the middle of the center of Barcelona. The room has enough space and loved all amenities. You can even buy the room fragrance the same one as the lobby’s and that makes whole hotel smell so good. Everything was perfect even the location. You can walk till beach only in 15min.
This hotel is at an amazing location for exploring Barcelona, right in the city center! Metro, bike, bus, taxi and many restaurants/stores in walking distance. The room is spacious with a comfortable bed. Friendly staff.
The location couldn't be an better and while in the city center, the hotel is not noisy at hotel.
Facilities are nice, ideal for a couple of nights to enjoy Barcelona.
I would definitely go back!
Modern hotel, extremely well located, in city center of Barcelona. walking distance from everywhere. the staff was super nice. would recommend for sure!
