Very lively, very touristy along beach area, more friendly in the old town area where you can have a meal without pointing to a printed picture! This is a place for those who want the sun, sand and the...
This is a place for those who want the sun, sand and the ocean. Nice walks along the promenade beside the marina and beyond. Prices in restaurants and for boat rides are very high. Architecturally, the 'old' town hasn't much to offer of interest and it's impossible to get a taxi from there. However, the old port is interesting in terms of its history, and is well worth a look.

Been to Cambrils many times, I have family there. You’ll need a bit more than basic Spanish. Shops , bars and restaurants are plenty and prepare to queue, locals know what they want! Don’t take gbp , no where to change them , use your cards , you’ll get the option to pay in either currency.LisaUnited Kingdom

We like it a lot as it's just in from of the beach and the sea and early in the morning you can enjoy the sunrise from the balcony and have a walk around. Cambrils is a nice small town for a weekend stay off-season. We are a large family with 3 kids, so all of them were happy to swim in a pool, to play with great toys, which belong to the son of the owners. There many interesting books for kids as well.
