Amazing an cozy, perfet to relax and get some sport done. Maybe even to remote work, for a few days, surrounded by nature and less warm weather than in the interior or coast of Catalunya. Perfect for kids and grown-ups :)

Olot is a good starting point to walk the Via Verde (Ruta carrilet 1) to Girona. The town is quite small but has many small squares with a variety of bars, restaurants and cafes. As the centre of the Garrotxa region the volcanoes are of interest and very close to town - walking distance.

The rambles at night was very buzzy and good fun. The museum of Saints was fantastic. We watched an extremely good 8 minute video first and then spent ages looking round...well worth a visit. The Garrotxa museum had interesting art works. We especially liked the posters advertising cigarettes. Not park was cool too.

The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. I liked having the ability to have 3 people in a room with the 2nd bed. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also excellent - I really appreciated the option of gluten free bread (delicious) and oat milk.

A nice change after travelling through France where the prices are 30-50% higher for everything and the habitation which we stayed in France was terrible compared to returning to Spain. Also the food in France horrible and unhealthy. Bread shops everywhere- terrible expensive food!
